I’ve got a condi ranger and I’ve been using it and loving it but the sb has been debatable and not as much dps do you guys think the sword and dagger in offhand would do more dps as it has more poisons and bleeds and is it viable?

Sounds like I wasted my llv 80boost on rev kitten lol and I also have a ranger which I hate cause I don’t like support but I didn’t know they were both support ranger jus t looked cool at the time. I should go kill myself, or maybe go play on my lvl 18 elemental is how is ele In wvw?

I’m using a rev and my kitten is getting beat I’m thinking it’s jdut me cause I suck but what is rev like in wvw n how would I make it better :S

The editor is not updated with the recent changes for ranger. with this build you have all the tools to survive while able to spike crzy damage with MM trait line, full zerk gear and might stacking capability. While with max might stacking(you and your pet) can combo bird F2 with rapid fire for almost 20k daamge spike.
The new shouts with trooper rune will give you all the survivability you need(remember you can swap pet while gaurd is active).

in a WvW fight a rev will out heal a druid with the most recent patch. in a WvW team fight rev will last longer but deal a little less damage. in a WvW roaming ranger is an uncontested choice. outside of WvW ranger kittens on rev in pve and in pvp a rev is just a resistance bot which mesmer does a better job of anyway.

So I’m fairly new and I have a ranger and revenant both around lvl 62 and I just don’t know what to choose. Which can do more dps because I’d like to stick to one and I like dealing a lot of damage and what’s rev better than ranger at and vise versa. Thanks

As you was mentioned you don’t need to be support if you’re druid, it just gives you support options. Are you doing open world stuff only? Or?

You can take things like natural stride which give you a near permanent 33% speed boost, rather than team support traits. Or the main benefit for solo play is that the “support” on druid actually supports yourself. So if you get hurt, pop the celestial avatar and use it as a second heal 6 skill.

Nothing is good about revenant (definitely not biased opinion coming from a ranger main)…

Now talking about support in this game. Guild wars is a bit different than most MMOs as healing is not the primary defensive support. You can get around without much healing and still be very effective in the game. This is also true for druid. The main function of a druid is to provide offensive support through buffs and defensive support through boons like vigor and protection. You can do this while still providing decent damage output. Even when using a healing power set, your main function is to provide buffs while the healing output should come as a byproduct of that. This mindset is what made me like druid specialisation in the end.

If you still don’t like druid, you are not forced to take it. Base condi ranger is one of the highest dps specs in the game right now. This makes ranger the most versatile class right now, at least as far as pve is concerned.
