Yeah, Henge got gutted when the WvW guilds left. The people remaining are trying and I always see at least a few people, but there’s a lot of solo time now. I almost always see a few people around, but where and when you play has a big impact on that.

I’m interested in starting an RP guild on Henge – if we can’t go to the RP we might as well RP where we are. Hopefully we can draw more players to Henge and out into the world so it’s a bit less empty.

If you start that guild let me know

Saved Knut first cause he was closest and then everyone but Phlunt. Watched them fight until the Mordrems came after me.

…The asura are a race of geniuses and as far as I know Taimi does not have an expertise background in waypoint studies. I’m confident that somewhere out in Tyria there is an asura that understands waypoints well enough to do what Taimi did, or even better than her….

But they didn’t. They’ve had weeks to solve this problem and Taimi was the only one who came up with a viable solution. Since she did something the other Asura either couldn’t or wouldn’t I don’t blame her for not trusting them or not wanting to hand her device over.

Regardless of my opinion the player should have been given the option to either defend Taimi or hand the machine over. Which I think is the real issue here. We weren’t given a choice.

So much hostility for Taimi and most of it seems to stem from the fact of her age.
I want to remind you all that Taimi is an integral part of the team. Without her we never would have found the leyline hub, let alone survived getting inside of it with all the Inquest roaming about. The waypoints would have continued to draw the dragon and the system would have been compromised. Taimi was the one to offer a solution to the problem and her solutions worked. Throughout she was working for the greater good.
Taimi has had to make adult decisions in adult situations and from what I have seen she handles herself with an amount of maturity that I doubt any of us managed at the same age. That alone should qualify her as an adult. Not to mention her achievements that have had a worldwide effect, for the better
I fail to see why Taimi should not have been allowed to continue to work on and operate her device. I would have been okay with the Asuras wanting to supervise her, even assist. I was not okay with completely taking it away from an accomplished genius with the only knowledge of how exactly the machine works.
While I agree that running out was an extremely immature move I don’t think we should fault Taimi for her response. After all, as you all mentioned, she is still a child. She tried the adult way. She tried to talk to Phlunt, convince him to let her keep her machine. It was only when the mature avenues failed that she resorted to acting like a child. Yet, even after her outburst of emotion, in the end she still made the mature decision for the greater good instead of for her own good.

Besides, nothing makes an evil genius faster then a child genius who goes unrecognized for their accomplishments and belittled throughout their childhood simply because they are a child.

I don't have anything to wear for the party

This topic title is exactly what I first thought when I realised we were going to a posh party.

My main character is a ranger which means she’s limited to medium armor and outfits. Her best option is the Order of Whispers coat which looks a bit like a dress, but it’s not ideal. Which is especially annoying because she’s also a human noble which means she really should have something. It might be something 2 years out of date that’s been sitting in a dusty wardrobe in that house she also doesn’t have but it would be better than showing up in her armor.

This is also related to something that’s been bothering me for a while. When I first discovered town clothes I assumed we’d acquire them like armor – the ones in the gem store would be just some options (maybe the more unusual ones) and others would be available in game. When my first character got to level 80 and I hadn’t found any I went to the wiki to find out how to get them (specifically the dress the generic human nobles wear, or something like it) and I was genuinely surprised to find the gem store ones and the default were the ONLY options.

It’s really frustrating because what I wanted to do was what I do in Elder Scrolls games: I have my armor which I wear when exploring and then I have normal clothes, something that looks like what the NPCs wear, for when I’m in non-combat situations. It helps with immersion and also just gives me a bit of variety. And the generic noble dress is perfect for that, but I can’t wear it.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one looking for clothing as well as armor in the first play through.
