"Iterate" the rest of HOT HPs

So far 3 people seems enough for pretty much all challenges I’ve done, and Í’ve done enough to unlock my elite specialization.
I think a lot of the frustration seems to come from the fact that sometimes we get put into a slightly empty map. this does not mean the game is dead though, a ton of players are in different instances of that same map. Maybe this has always been an issue, except it’s far more noticeable in the expansion, as it actually requires a lot of players to be on the map before it can be played to its fulled extent.

There is a pretty good fix for this, yay! The lfg tool. I’ve been using the lfg tool for the last couple of days now and it has been a life saver. Just look for people doing the same map as you are, and you are pretty much being guaranteed a full map because people are actively being ferried in. This should enable you to do the hero points (worked for me at least).

As for nerfs, I really enjoy the fact that these hero points feel like an actual challenge, it gives you that feeling of “yesss, I got the point!” that you never had in the vanilla game. Also the fact that you need a couple of people (not a big team) is in my opinion completely acceptable: this is an mmo after all, and the xp + loot rewards make it worth killing the hp bosses even if you already have the point, considering how small the time investment is.

All of this considered I would be pretty sad to see more hps get nerfed.

I was wondering the same thing. There is a golden backpiece if you complete the auric weapon set. I was hoping if that would unlock a new collection for the glider? maybe? yes please?

@Fluffbal a smoking HoT live orchestra version of the marionette music can be heard during the triple-boss in the verdant brink nighttime.

It sounds amazing, and so does the rest of the heart of thorns soundtrack. Incredible music and also more of it than I was expecting!

I didn’t notice it being easier as a whole. completely depended on the class I played. Last beta I was running some pretty horrible builds, because I didn’t really pay attention to my traits and armour yet. This beta I was still getting my behind kicked like last beta until I actually paid some attention to what build I was running, then it became challenging but doable.

Also everything becomes shockingly easy if you’re in a zerg, so I hope people will be a bit more spread out over the map’s many events as the full map becomes playable.

Still, if half of the people are complaining it’s too easy and the other is complaining it’s too hard, the difficulty must be in quite a good spot (i’m certainly liking it).

except for the wyvern actually, that guy could really use a buff.

i agree about the spear of justice being too slow, though that is not technically a longbow skill.
The biggest issues i have with longbow is that
skill 3 seems very unlikely to be used as intended, because it feels impractical (you have to first see a projectile, then decide to stop it, aim it and fire, then wait for your projectile to travel in that direction).
skill 5’s immobilize seems to come way too late. It would make sense to immobilize the enemies and then having them stand in the rain of arrows. It does not make sense to chase everyone away with a rain of arrows and drop an immobilize on the area you just made sure is empty. This even goes for pve because enemies in the jungle don’t stand still that long (which is great btw).

Apart from these issues it is just a matter of getting the numbers right imho. Overall I would say I like the longbow, the slow but hard hitting flavour of it. It just needs a few changes to make it actually useful.
