hi Donee, I am glad you came up with this original build. Instead of sword/wh, do you think GS also a viable option for burst/utility/cc?
The GW2 Vision
The Tenacious GW2 chapter is a casual friendly one. We are truly hardcore at heart, casual by nature.
We will not require members to play any specific profession (class) or any specific builds. We hate the forced “meta” play style that many hardcore groups require. We encourage members to play the profession they like, how they like. So play the game how you like (within the framework of our community rules and charter) and when you like. That’s the true Tenacious way.
Please note, that we do plan to venture into raiding in the future. This may require members to tweek this mentality a bit to help with progression but let’s see how things go!

this have been my pve solo, dungeon, and wvw set up for 3 weeks..tested and works very well for me.

my stats:
attack:2670
crit: 40%
hp:17000+
armor:3200+
heal:750 with GS, 900 with staffs
the build is defensive, but the play style is offensive.
my might always on 5-7 stacks at least from empower+1st skill’s 3rd chain+signet of justice..when in dungeon, with atruistic healing+shouts=my health barely fall below 50%..when it does, i go out of battle, switch to staff and heal with 4th skill..note that staff’s 4th skill has 3 stacks x 4 times application of might to all allies..so the healing amount with empower(the 4th staff’s skill) is decent with this build..
and for wvwvw, I am able to kill 2 enemies while fighting 1v5 against them(And die of course)
As much as I hate the sharks, here is the secret to beating them:
If you go up to the node normally and try to cap (esp with a defender there) you are just going to get eaten alive, because the sharks will chase you from the moment you jump in the water until you die. The trick is that sharks won’t target you on top of the water – there are a few ways to abuse this.
For one thing, if you are planning to cap ruins, swim there on TOP of the water, not under it – when you get there, only 1 or 2 sharks will attack you, instead of the swarm that you get otherwise. Also, if you can manage to neutralize the node and there are defenders around, immediately swim up to the top of the water, and the sharks will immediately target your enemies instead of you.
Still hope they get removed, though.
this is the tactic i use the most to cap ruin. and it works everytime. just have to be sneaky so the defender won’t realize you are on top of the point. i love sharks tho. make my life as a ruin defender easier.
i had some games yesterday with pretty much the same situation like yours. another thing that 8v8 is sometimes ridiculous when there are 3 thieves in the opposite team. they jump around like monkey and spam HS-HS-HS, 1 sec later-dead. really looking forward for 5v5 spvp in the future.
