Guild Wars 2

Like the title says, I’m getting back into the game and want to start fresh with a new character, I have an 80 Warrior and Ranger and am trying to decide between a Revenant or a Necro. Anyone willing to give me some info about end game for each class to help me to decide, I would appreciate it.

I have thoroughly explored the area, I do have Foundation 86 discovered. When I got into Shiverpeaks Explorer in the Achievement tab, everything under Timberline Falls has a green check next to it except Foundation Stones, despite my extensive walking around. I’ll give it another go, but I don’t think I missed anything.

Yesterday I finished Timberline Falls, but when I check Shiverpeaks Explorer, it said I had not discovered “The Foundation Stones” despite having the waypoint unlocked, going to the location, and running all around. Is this a common problem and is there a way to fix it?

Friends keep telling me, “play what you want, play what you like.” For the most part, that’s true, but in this game, I want to a character who is effective in PvE as well as PvP and simply put, Warrior doesn’t seem to do that. I’ve been lvling a Necromancer and it’s been enjoyable but I miss the enjoyment I get from being a heavily armored melee class, swinging a huge sword around, granted I’ll get to do that with my Necro at 80, minus the plate. So I am very much interested in getting some input about the Guardian, I’ve never played one and it seems like my only other choice to get that specific feel I get when I play Warrior/Fighters in other games.
