100/100 mbit.
It’s not network lag, it’s framerate issues.

The graphics settings are maxed out.
I’m lagging even when my CPU is at ~40% and GPUs at ~50% each.

Hey,
I’m having lag/micro-stutter issues even though my CPU, GPU1 & GPU2 is only utilized at around 70%.

I’m not experiencing this in other games, whether they use SLI or not.

This turned into a very interesting discussion about password security with several links to some very interesting reading regarding hacking/encrypting.
I have definitely learned a lot about passwords tonight.

Just make up a sentence you can easily remember… like “this is commander shepards favorite password on the citadel” or such nonesense. Super easy to remember without writing it down and a lot more secure.

I have a password that I have evolved massively over the years, and I have several different variations of at ATM.
For me it IS super easy to remember, while still being very secure.
I was unable to use ANY of my variations here, so I had to create yet ANOTHER one…
There are some times when security really just crosses the line to where it just isn’t at all convenient anymore, and just creates extra difficulties.

The reason for the first password being unable is most likely due to it being on the black-list. Either for being used by yourself earlier or from being known as leaked from other sites (there have been a bunch of MMO-sites that have had user-information leaked).

Or it simply wasn’t as complicated and unique as you want to think.

And yes, writing it down is a rather good solution.

Yes security like that is good. If they are collaborating with 3rd party services to keep “compromised” passwords blacklisted, that’s a good thing.
I don’t know, to me, writing your password down is like a first class violation to “keeping your password safe – 101”.

I’m returning to GW2 with some friends. We haven’t played for almost over 2 years, so I couldn’t remember my password.
Well I reset it, and since the service is so “secure”, it refused to accept any of my complicated passwords that I have made up but am still able to remember, because it claimed that they are simply not secure enough…
Trust me… They ARE complicated enough…

So now I had to create ANOTHER, absolutely RIDICULOUS password, which I will now have to write down, because I will NOT remember this kitten…
So I’m just wondering, how is my account more safe now that I have a VERY complicated password, that no-one will be able to “guess”, but, that I MYSELF will have to write down to remember..?

Question about the Dynamic Level Adjustment.

Alright, I will probably make a new character with him when he starts playing, and also join him from time to time with my main^^
I’m really impressed by this feature, i know it effectively removes power-leveling lowbies, (but really, who needs that in this game?) but I mean in what other game can you use your level-capped main character to play side by side with a friend’s baby character? That’s really cool.

Thank you everyone

Hey,
I have a question about the Dynamic Level Adjustment.

I read this on the official wiki:
“A scaled down character continues to receive experience and loot that is comparable to what he would receive at his real level, though it is still somewhat less efficient for obtaining experience and items than playing level-appropriate content.”

What I’m wondering is, if I have a character that is level 20 and then a friend starts playing so I go to his starting area and then we do EVERYTHING together, we only play together and never level on our own.
Will it then take a long time for him to catch up with me?
Will we maybe hit lvl 30 or perhaps 40 at the same time?

Or will he simply never catch up to me?
