This may come off rantish. It’s not. This is a legitimate question for me.

ANet, how do you want us to play your game? I ask you this because when ever I think I’ve found what Im supposed to be focusing on, it becomes rebalanced in order to not give the rewards/increase the risk. Don’t get me wrong, I love the challenge, and I don’t want everything handed to me on a silver platter, but I just don’t understand what I should be doing.

At first I figured I should grind mats for my legendary, but the anti-bot codes were added with no means of verifying my human-ness (even 4chan has captcha). Then I figured you must want me to grind dungeons, but that’s not what you want me to do, you’ve made the reward too low and the risk too high.

I understand balancing needs done, and I am all for it, but you guys are handling things the wrong way. In stead of nerfing and taking away things that need to be balanced, add stuff in and fix things that need to be made better. With all that you’ve taken away from us, I find having 2 level 80s a chore. I log on, do a run for orichalcum and ancient wood logs, and then I sit at the same spot, farm the same event until you guys wont let me any more, then I log out and play borderlands.

For a game that had such a strong opening, one of the smoothest first weeks ever, and is ridiculously enjoyable in all other aspects, you guys really should step up your end game stuff.

I’m coming here out of desperation. I’ve exhausted google. I’ve found other people with the exact same issue as me, but there’s never a stated resolution I’ve found. Let me explain what happens, then I’ve give my spec.

First off, the majority of the crashes happen when changing areas. The more frequently I change areas, the sooner the crash happens. If I went back and forth between Asura portals from lions arch to any city, I’d crash on the 3rd or 4th go around. However, it also happens outside of zone transitioning. Periodically, things will start to slow down, and I’ll notice color issues. The map will show two blocks of yellow and cyan, character abilities will change colors (like a fire shield will become a haze of flickering yellow). In the end, I really think it’s a video card issue, but the thing is I have a pretty good video card, and worse yet, this never happened in the BWE. I’m updated on drivers, and everything is fine there.

GForce GTX 550 Ti
3 gb of Ram
Intel Xeon CPU 5150 @ 2.66GHz (4CPUs), ~2.7GHz
Windows 7 Ultimate
5+ gigs left on a 130 gig SSD

If you guys know anything, I would be super thankful for help

They have 100% crit at lower levels. At 80, its a drop in the bucket.
