I’ve just given Ventari a shot in a 1v1 duel vs Obindo (top 10 in leaderboard EU). I ran Rune of Monk and Magi’s amulet. Standard ventari traits. Obindo was playing power war.
It took him about 10 minutes to take me down. Granted, I didn’t deal any damage or pose any kind of threat. But it seems to be a decent bunker.
I see what your concern is, and yes, I agree on that. Revenant is hard to play compared with warrior, for example, however, it is a lot more rewarding to get the hang of it IMO.
Okay, so guys, I’ve been playing mostly Revenant this season, and surprisingly, this class is still strong as ever!
So I’ve just climbed up to Gold on my main account, now I’m doing the same on my alt. Despite the heavy nerf to sotm and precision strike, the Revenant still remains one of the most useful classes in PvP.
If played well, and timed properly, the Revenant can induce massive bursts of damage with the combination of boons, impossible odds and auto attack. It can also easily turn around a team fight by cc’ing enemy stompers, AoE stunning, applying pressure on enemies with aa’s.
Basically, the Revenant has a whole array of strong cc at his disposal, which, if used correctly, can really win the game for you! Not to mention… B00NS!!!!
So, I was one of those guys who thought that was it, the Revenant was officially dead. But, after this playing it this season and winning game after game, making play after play, I have come to the conclusion that I was wrong.
Revenant is still strong as ever, guys. End of!
