If I am not mistaken, the Elixir Gun is a bundle, or a kit as you refer to it, and therefore I think that you must manually select which ability you want it to auto-attack each time.

Well, you say you think it happened when you changed your build, so maybe try changing it and seeing what happens? I have never run across this, I play as a “minion-master”, as in all my skills are minion summoning, with a staff or dagger/focus.

Update ALL the drivers!

WvWvW seems to be a very popular PvP mode.

I can think of two fixes:

1) Patience (Although you have already displayed lots of it!).

2) Transfering to a less populated world. That will mean that there are fewer people in the world, and therefore fewere people attempting to connect to WvWvW and likely a shorter queue.

I am no expert, but this could potentially be a bug with your sound card. Try updating your drivers, then re-boot your computer and see if this problem persists.
