Guild Wars 2

I eventually ran through with a friend. It appears there is similar animation issues not only relating to this that I fail to see. I hope ANet fix this for people.

I put in a support request 2 days ago but as yet have had no reply. Would be nice to at least hear something. I know a few other people have the same issue also.

I tried to reinstall from scratch – re-downloading all 30gb to see if it was an error with a downloaded texture but still no luck there.

I cant seem to find a way to quit out and restart that single part of the story without restarting the whole thing which I dont want to do.

Anyone? I am unable to pass this part of the story. Any help would be appreciated.

I am not sure if this is a bug, something to do with my graphics or else..

My graphics are on best appearance with some of the settings changed to Ultra or Highest. I have tried playing around but makes no difference. Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB with latest stable driver 384.94 24/07/2017

I doubt I am, it just seems a waste of an Item that some people really want.

Also I don’t want to go into politics of why I may not be able to, I understand that. I just want an answer to my question.

I just dont like the way the new maps are all “story” based. Lake Doric for example. Sure it can be level 80 but why cant it have all the POI, Vistas, Hero Points, Renown Hearts. Even if there is a story going on I think it should be an enter-able instance like the rest of GW2 before HoT. I like the fact when I start a human char I can go straight to Ascalon, Then to Caledon etc etc. This should be the same for cantha / elona imo. We should have a few low level areas that are obtainable, Yes you need the expansion but just because you have an expatiation doesnt mean the whole map has to be the story.

I am a pretty hardcore player on many accounts and the one thing that gets to me is the few 0 – 15 starting areas there are. Since playing Beta these have become so boring to me. It would be nice just to have a few other 0 – 15 areas.

Will Cantha ever be brought back?

I think Elona is. We could have new starting area on Elona with a new race even or just ports from hometown to a 0-15 in Elona.

I just want more starting content I guess.

More Guild Wars 1 Stuff. Maybe GW1 Hero Minitures.

I know a lot of people who are torn between GW1 and GW2 – myself included, obviously both games are very different and very great. more GW1 integration into a GW2 world would be amazing.

I would also like to see a book like “Flameseeker Prophecies” where you need to go and find all GW1 Nostalgic Places, Like Ruins of Piken Square. Granite Citadel etc.

One of the contributing actions is Repairing Fence. This works fine but I have noticed that you can limit yourself.

If you hit the fence and repair and move over to the next available piece of fence it will auto build without contributing to the heart. I have found that you need to walk back wait a second and then go for the next piece of fence, this time it wont auto build and it will allow you to repair it.

This has most likely been asked many times – I have read through many threads but still unable to find all answers I need.

I am not very good at this game as much as I love it. GW1 I was able to spec up my heroes to protect myself but I don’t have that luxury here.

I am looking for a fun character to play. I find myself dying too often, more so in HoT – But even with Rev. I just cannot solo and find it hard to find a team to run round basic stuff like Hero Points or Mastery Points.

I want a class that has good protection, but also a bit of power, Sure I may not be able to run around in full zerk gear but I also dont want to run around in a bubble and take 30 minutes to kill a rabbit >_<

Also if I do gain more confidence in playing and I want to go fractals or raids, one of these classes that would also be good for that when adapted.

A security update would be on the back end, and not game client related with regard to a ddos. That’s a server issue for them to sort out. As for a preload, the need to tell us ahead of time as this is a massive update affecting game play in a major way. So no, not going to accept silence on this one from Anet. No one actively trying to play this game should.

Not necessarily the back-end only, maybe they pointed the client at some different DNS/Subnets to spread out more traffic to mitigate the DDOS issues. They wouldn’t tell you this anyway, You would have to packet cap. but either way this is just a scenario where client update would be needed dependant on how they already have things set up… unless you know this for certain?

My transfer happened in a matter of minutes, The first 10 minutes or so my guild chat didn’t work so well but after that everything was fine.

20 hours so far seems too long, I would think this is something that support would have to look into. Could have been to do with the connection issues around that time.

It takes me about a year to complete a char especially with the time I get on GW2 due to work.

You dont know how long it would actually take them but to me. I’m sure it would take them less than 10 years….

Even if they could reset the profession it wouldn’t mean that your char would still have the other profession’s map completion. Resetting might cause the game consider it a completely new char.

I suggest you put that char to one side and let him sit and play another profession until you’re no longer bored with it. You can always get map completion some other time.

Well thats why I said it maybe not be possible or may include a lot of work, but as I said, its just a suggestions.

I know this is probably more complicated than it appears due to game restrictions and how much would need to be changed. (At A Guess)

I have managed to get quite far with my Rev, I am soooo BORED now with that character and I really cant be bothered to start all over again… I am an OCD completionist and I know I need to 100% every area with a new character.

It would be a nice thing to buy or at least a choice for people who feel like this.

True, but they make a good meat shield and stop most of the aggro on you in this mission. Otherwise it can be a real pain.

I completed this eventually.

I tried again and it started to work… a little. Sometimes the henchies would stop attacking and just stand still. I had the same problem in the previous mission with Caithe.

During the Living Story 3 mission Confessors Stronghold when I try to defeat Justiciar Adrienne - Canach, Marjory and Rytlock do not help me fight the white mantle Im left alone.

Playing as Human Revenant

Sound Blaster Z Issue, Reinstalled Drivers all working fine.

I can only load gw2 up for about 3 minutes before I get a crash. I cant see any great detail why.

Restarted, Unistalled/Reinstalled GFX drivers. Still Happening.

After completion,

I have received no Reward and the Hearts and Minds quest is still active on my Story Journal and shows as incomplete, It taken me like 2 weeks to do this and I really don’t want to go through it again for the same thing to happen.

Happened to anybody else?

What does it matter?

We buy the game and the servers are subscription free unlike other MMO’s.

The people complaining about stuff. it really doesn’t matter unless you were unlucky enough to get a precursor drop or such.

All the people whining that they lost progress time and gold…. just put your expectations of when you reach complete satisfaction back by one day. all you lost was a day of game time. if your lucky enough to have made 600g yesterday then you will be lucky enough to do it again.

Its only a game, there is more important stuff to worry about, To me it was a shame it was down last night as I wanted to play a quick game before bed. but it didn’t effect me so much, I went to bed and played tonight instead. Big deal.

You have not lost any progress, you lost a day of potential game time which you can make up again, by playing 1 hour longer for the next 16 sessions you have. given you sleep for 8 hours

Things like this can be a pain, but hey, its life, kitten happens and so does human error. I think they have done pretty well to have it up 4 years without any problems considering the amount of content and people who play.

Lets stop whining as it demoralizes people, especially the staff and developers who put hard work into this….

and to the guy who wanted this on the front page of the site…. you know that will lose players and the more players the better right?

I have came back about a month ago.

So much more content, more game stories. Scarlet has finished obviously but there is still LWS2 and 3 to play. with HoT expansion. New class with HoT expansion also. Revenent

Hi All.

Long time player of GW1, I started playing in 2005 day of release and still play now! I bought GW2 on pre-release played betas etc, completed my personal story and didn’t find much endgame so went back to GW1 (This was before fractals). When HoT came out once again I pre-released, played and enjoyed the new class Revenant. Since then I have not been able to be very active due to work/illness. Been playing for the past month again, Leveled up. and completed personal story. Still need to go through and 100% every area on this char and get into HoT and complete that and LS3.

It would be nice to join a guild again. Socializing is what its all about anyway.

I am mainly a PvE player. I would like to learn more about PvP and Dungeons (but I usually play solo) so any guild that would be willing to help me learn certain aspects. Would like to do more dungeons also which I find I am unable to find a group all the time.

I really miss vanquishing – It was a endgame winner for me, Even if I had completed I could have fun and gain more faction etc

Even though its an MMO, I don’t think the emphasis NEEDS to be on multiplayer activities.

I thought the balance in GW1 was perfect, I was in a guild and enjoyed the social side for some UW/FoW but most of the time I was out and about with my heroes/henchmen.

I am looking to see what is the most popular or beautiful scenery in the game?

Or if you have any preference on what would make a good desktop background in regards to Guild Wars

As a side question, I am wondering if I would be able to share this theme to the Guild Wars 2 Community with licensing due it being owned by Arena Net, or would I just have to credit them?
