I hope they do add this option; the ability of people to ‘follow’ you without your consent and the inability for you to delete them, is ridiculous. This option would deal with the issue the OP has (although frankly the half-wits in the OP’s screenie ought to be removed from GW) and ensure that you are only seen by whom you want to be seen by.
Before anyone comes out with the old “it is not an issue unless you have something to hide” chestnut, an individual’s right to privacy in a game that they pay for, wholly outweighs some random strangers right to see you there.
@ Sons – It might not be stated but it is unlikely that the Sylvari, or any other race, would ‘reward’ someone with human clothing. I have yet to see any crafted armour that is anything but human. So yes, I think the game is unfairly biased towards humans and, as a new player, I find that bizarre and off-putting. It is the same for Norn – the armours available were ridiculous for the native climate and it seems extremely lazy by Anet that they do not at least provide cultural rewards in the personal story.

As a new player to the game, one of my first impressions of it was surprise at the rewards offered to non-human races. As a Sylvari, I was astounded to see that my story rewards are comprised of human-style attire. Worse, I found that I could not buy Sylvari gear from the vendors, nor craft it.
Taking the view that as GW is a free to play game, I went to the gem store, and found there that I could not kit out my character, even if I were to pay for it, which I would have done. I understand that I can purchase the cultural armours in-game, but there are only three sets of those.
No doubt this has been raised before, but, as indicated, I am new to the game and could not find a relevant post. The lack of cultural rewards smacks of pure laziness by Anet, and is a real turn off for me.
I also cannot understand why the gem store, a source of income for Anet, has such a poor offering in terms of skins and weapons. Surely they ought to be encouraging people to spend real money. I know that some players appear to believe that everything ought to be available using in-game gold, but I am more of a realist about it; Anet have to make an income and I do not believe they utilise the gem store very well in that regard.
