Preparation Thrust: The damage of this skill has been reduced by 11%.
Brutal Blade: The damage of this skill has been reduced by 20%.
Rift Slash: The damage of this skill has been reduced by 10%.
Unrelenting Assault: The number of attacks this skill makes has been reduced from 7 to 5. The damage of each strike has been increased by 10%. The strikes from this skill are no longer affected by animation time-scale, as quickness provided no benefit and slow would cause the attack to never hit.
Precision Strike: This skill has been reworked and will now always fire three projectiles at up to three targets. If fewer than three targets are available, the remainder of the projectiles will be launched at the available targets. The chill duration has been reduced from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
Coalescence of Ruin: The recharge of this skill has been increased from 2 seconds to 4 seconds. Enemies are now able to be struck by this ability only once every 0.5 seconds.
Unwavering Avoidance: This trait now has a 5-second internal cooldown.
Herald:
Crystal Hibernation: The base healing per level from this skill has been reduced by 36%. This affects Soothing Bastion as well.
Facet of Light: Activating this facet is no longer instant and now has a casting time of 0.25 seconds.

The game been crashing in WvW SFR server like hell and it was not just to me it was for hafe of the blob. That action has been repeated so many times yesterday and the day befor that so please can you fix this thing and sort it out
Im going to totally ignore the bs about “everything is viable” this is not eotm where you fight uplvls who cant even rally its wvw, specially if you play in tier 1-2 where the fights are bigger than 3 dudes ganking
To compare from a pov having both classes
Warrior: with stances and shield plus the highest passive defenses in game you are more than enough to enter the fray and survive, bring guardas with you to stability spam, get in command and live to tell the story.
Guard: relly more on active defenses than just walking and wait something to happen, not saying is bad, just need to time well your skills since guards have potato hp pool against warriors, spam everything and die.
Saying that is down by a lot of factors, like pugs, wvw guild and such, both are good but is more about which tier are you and how active your server is, if you are doing eotm just pick any class and command, it doesnt really matter
Also for the dude saying thief commander he is welcome to play against us in t1 with his ranger comander, lets see how far he goes when signet is down
Warrior is better for commanding than guardian imo because of the higher health pool, more Self-sustain when built right, and has higher in combat mobility. As a non-commander heavy, I would say guardian is more useful, but even then they are about even and just have different roles. You can play guardian just as well for commanding, but warrior is going to be easier.
Build:
Full PTV armor w/ melandru runes or dolyak runes (I like doly runes)
Cleric weapons with digits of water and bloodlust/energy
3 cleric trinkets, 2 ptv trinkets.Utilities:
Shout heal
Shake it off
This one is optional:
• Shout with might
• Endure pain or stability stance
Dolyak signet is a must

So warrior>guardian for COMMANDING ONLY!!! Situational uses otherwise

How good is the warrior compared to gardian in WvW commanding ?
And is there any good build with shield for commanding?
I’ve seen lots of successful zerker ele commanders on maguuma.
Usually commander is expected to lead everyone else during a fight, forget about frontline with zerker ele.
You could try tanky healing build that has pretty decent survivability but imo, I think guardian is still way better in this. Mainly because tanky healing ele can well support others but the heals are not as high for the ele him/herself and it’s weak against high burst.
Ele can make it work as a commander but it does take a lot of effort and has its limitations in comparison to guard/warrior.

yep full ranged pirate ship is most likely how you will need to play. If that is the case shoot for a build like this.

For sure it will be hard to survive with zerk gear i was looking for something that makes me live in the front line and i think this build is not the way to go for commanding with all respect maybe if we change air to earth for prot
its a bit harder to do because usually what the commander plays on is the overall mindset of the group. Expect to be doing alot of kiting. Its possible to do for sure, but it a bit harder to control the frontline unless you get a driver while you command.
Is it as effective as gardian?
If the answer is “Yes”
Can you please share the trait line +weapon set, runes , sigiles ?!

Just wondering if my ele can be an effective commander in WvW the same as the gardians?
If the ele can play that roll, can some one please help me with the atrait, runes, weapons, sigils?
