Hey guys been away from the game sense fire and frost event. I left due to ran out of interesting things to do. Got a lil tired of farming for legendary mats and that anying precurser. Anyhoo has anything changed at all? Thanks guys and happy hunting

No thanks, I am kind of happy where we are now, if that happened the pets and the class would be op and unfun to play. Steamrolling everything isn’t my way of fun if its yours… then roll a fighter or something. Fighter or guard are easymode in this game thieves are too from what I hear when it comes to pvp areas

Let peeps run dungeon how they want, if they wish to skip then fine, if they want to kill em all then that’s cool too. Try to kill EVERY encounter in arah and see if your mind changes. Instead of venting, just do dungeons with peeps that are in the same mindset as you. If you enjoy to do dungeons “the right way” then fine. The way.most peeps just want to get a dungeon done in reasonable time and not waste 3 to 4 hrs on 1 path so they use the same tactics that get the job done in the fastest way posible, even if that is skipping.

To the OP, peeps not allowing rangers in speedruns can continue to exploit the shorter paths and get no enjoyment out of the game. Defenetly if the grp only wants the war and mesmer combo. Imo peeps not allowing certain classes to come are a lil selfish. Anyhoo I run with a grp that we are all rangers and its a blast and relitivly fast. We all know how to manage our pets effectivly and such so just about all paths of any dungeon really isn’t a challenge for us. We run all rangers because it is deffenetly fun to do, sure our class is in many peeps eyes as low on the effectivness when it comes to dungeons but hey, ist hillarious to see 5 cats on 1 boss like project alpha in CoE, or lopi in arah. :-) its an absilute blast :-) personally, I am glad I made a ranger it revamped the game for me. So don’t be bummed if selfish peeps don’t allow you to join their “speed runs”. Just have fun :-)

Recently my weapon combos are gs and sb. But been thinking aboutswitching to sword and offhand either dagger or axe. My guard has the gs and tired of looking at a gs lol, again my build is the basic tank bm all selfish p/t/v gear just got all the hotw gear for her and a couple loral accended trinkets.

OMG the ranger is awsome! I hit 80 this last weekend I did all paths for the esy dungeons AC, HotW, CoE, and a couple CoF. Very smooth gameplay I never really had any trouble with any of the paths. Get this, I did all these in like lvl50 gear didn’t realize it till I went to upgrade a few peices from the runs. In HotWs one grp I ran with we were all rangers haha we just sat back and had our pets kill everything and the bosses too! It was really funny and enjoyable. Currently I am playing the usual beastmaster build signits for utilitiy. Also did a lil WvW had a blast hurting the other side and actually killin folks :-) the panther/wolf set up is nasty against folks that weren’t expecting to lose! Haha! I even got a couple death threats telling me I somehow cheated lol bad players playing thieves and eles that didn’t know how to play their toons . Lol anyhoo I am soo happy I made a ranger! I am having a blast!

My main was a guard and a necro, the guard is def easy mode. The guard is great at support with the boons, its nice in dungeons and pve, I am not too much a fan when it comes to pvp or wvw in this game so idk if the guard is good on that side of the board. The necro was fun for a bit too. If you’d like try both of them out, currently I am addicted to my ranger which I am still lvling its a nice change.

Thanks guys :-) I will see how I enjoy the ranger when I hit 80, it might take me about 2 to 4 weeks sadly. But ya I am only 25 right now, but enjoying the class

Been playing a bit, got kinda bored with every class and reciently made a ranger wow they are a pretty fun class. I am not sure why a lot of peeps dislike em, the ranger imo is way more fun then any other class I have played. My main classes I play a lot were the necro and guard, compaired to the ranger those two classes are kinda blah. Anyhoo that’s my 2 cents :-),

I am thinking of long or short bow as main weapon and off hand either sword dagger or two daggers, it seems more of a rouge. I was thinkin ranger too but that pet is anoying its no my playstyle. I know in the game I will never get 1 shot 1 kill. I am thinking more for the look and roleplay. Its been awhile sense I looked at the med armors, anyhoo I will make both a rouge and a ranger and test em out to lvl 30 and see which one id like to keep. Anyhoo thanks

I am thinking of playing a character like a “robinhood” I was wondering what is a better class a ranger thief or war? I like em all but not sure what would fit that tipe of theme of a toon.

Back when my necro was my main I could tank real easy it was a well o mancer and had my traits somet hing like 30 death magic 30 blood magic and 10 in the last traitline. Anyhoo, the way I tanked was based off of the amount of enemies on me. The more the better due to everytime I hurt them I healed a lil bit weapons were d/d and staff. Its been awhile sense I have played him so that’s all I can remember right now. The nec I played could keep aggro better then a guard or war not sure why but it worked real well when my grp were all clothies

Idk why peeps think arah is painful, but then again it is time consuming. I personally enjoy the dungeon. its one of the few dungeons that you can’t spam 1 ability 100 percent of the time. Anyhoo, if peeps want to pay gold for that’s cool. Grats again to the mercs that thought up an easy way to making money :-)

For those that don’t wish to “buy their title” I sugest you look to another post titled"arah vets doing arah runs" these guys teach peeps on how to run the arah dungeon and such. P4 they run quite often, took us about an hr and a half to complet. Anyhoo that’s a suggestion. To the merc guild I give you props, that is a good idea to get gold from the lazy folks that don’t wish to learn the paths. Good luck guys and hope y’all get some nice profit

hello guys I am excited to learn about Arah, if yall are interested here is what i am

Name: Vladdamier
Class: Guardian
Traited: Shouts/AH heal

Gear: Knights armor/Berserk trinkets and weapons. All gear is Exotic
Weapons commonly used: sword or scepter with shield/ great sword, staff as secondary depending on situation.

Time on: mon-fri 4pm-11pm/ sat-sun 12 pm-8pm EST. hrs do change alot depending on if i am working or not.

Other: I am an experience dungeon runner, only one i cant seem to get experience is arah. I have a lot of patience when running new dungeons due to learning them, i dont normally get pushy or bossy if i am teaching new players about the dungeons that i have ran multiple times. I am just looking for a fun time in arah learning it

I have been wondering this for awhile now, I have asked my guild those that are vets
But do not wish to go through the dungeon again. I have also asked on the lfg site
But that one useless when everyone lfg wants expierenced players for that run, in
Order for that to happen guys that run it a lot should start teaching us new bloods.
Not trying to troll or complain but its gettin anoying. I am not new to dungeons but the only one I haven’t been able to try, and succeed is arah. So if anyone is interested in teaching the newbloods i’d like to join.

I fully agree, if the Wold bosses have great loot in their chests then it should be a tough fight. the only one that takes forever is jarmag, just b/c how he is, and not due to the difficult of him. I think the dragons defenetly need to be beefed up like their breath weapons being close if not to an insta-kill. and have them move around, something like that. And on a side note, i heard the devs are changing the guaranteed rare to 1 a day per account, i am SO happy about this, it will cut down on the amount of “guests” for the dragon/world bosses.

i read one of yalls posts and got my hopes up…. still no download. and yes it sure does suck being ill and no GW to relieve the boredom lol but reading this post is fun
