What’s wrong with talking about GvG on the WvW thread? That’s the only place we can do GvG.
I didn’t play GW1 tbh so I have no reference for that.
To me GvG has been one of the most exciting things in the game I’ve come across. It may be a community driven thing, (might be why it’s kind of cool, like a “Fight Club”, but it’s super fun!
Especially love Ogre Warmasters vids on YouTube where him and his buds are doing commentaries on them. It’s gaining quite a following. We usually have up to a hundred watching us. So at least I’m not alone, nor are EP, kitten or NS and RE and several other guilds – hundreds of them all across the world.
So if you don’t like it, don’t worry about it.
Maybe A-net will make a special channel for us so you don’t have to be bothered by a few posts ;-)

Gotta give it to FA on Monday night (pacific time) they brought some big numbers and cool strategies!

/agree Luvpie, SoS was amazing today. Even though we out number them right now on TC during us times, they always bring a great fight and play smart ;-)
They also don’t seem to forget it’s a game, but they are a really cool server with a great attitude.
I think they need to fix the competition level a little bit again IMO.

I agree MoM, we do have a lot of history on TC with FA. Some could call it a love hate relationship. Much of it reminds me of high school rivals. Bleh
We’ve been grouped against them so much I would hope we could just have fun at this point. We did have some pretty rough fights last night in FA BL. But it was fun! Bring it on! We love to get whipped.

Oh, and we especially appreciate how you guys brought in your entire server to fight us. That was the really fun But I’m sorry that you don’t have any resources to build siege because we flipped your side of the map a couple times while only “sitting in our towers” ;-)

TC hardly ever fights from our towers besides a few scouts. We especially love open field fights! We do respond quickly to certain threats and have good communication and commanders. I simply can’t count the amount of loot bags you gave us today. TY! We had some pretty fun times :-)

I think there must be some sort of OP’ness to the naked Snowmen…. :-P

I’m new to RE tbh from TV. We’ve “kind of fought” RE, and on KG RE have apparently no qualms to taking our camps etc even tho they haven’t totally migrated over. Being in the TS I have not seen one bit of “spy” stuff. It actually excites me more to donate to them because they are tenacious and cool despite any odds and even if they aren’t in TC those are still trying to play hard.
I am discouraged tho to hear how people are targeting them and giving them grief for their groups decision on the move to TC. Honestly let it be the game it is. RE is working kitten getting everyone over from what I’ve seen. But grats to those who haven’t gotten to TC and still fight ;-)
Over all, there is no spying and really… look at it… is there a reason to with the current match up system? Just sounds like KG vets are desperate or p’o’d. Just play Your game guys and have fun ;-) You don’t always have to win to have fun. Actually better if you don’t IMO, challenge is what makes us grow.

Actually what made it fun was that we had to hit you guys several times to get it. You had us really outnumbered, but you were so focused. I wish you luck as you develop more tactics ;-) Keep it coming! And I still hate you guys :-P So there! You all owe me 2.4397 gold for repairs over the last 9
months btw.

OK, Sunday night 5PM pst, FA vs TC.
Having fought against FA for pretty much my entire career in WvW, and having only been on TC server since launch, I want to say wow! On FA BL you guys brought it! That was honestly the funnest fight I’ve seen this year. We were out numbered 2 to 1 or more… and the fight was awesome! FA has really grown. Good job you hoser rivals :-P And Thank you ;-) Good times, and good luck! That was just fun, well played. Our entire team had a great time at it. Not just because we won the keep. It was just fun! Made me feel like this is actually a game again. Awesome!

TV looks forward to running with you and friend Rassak on TC in WvW. I’m sure you will see us in any event, zone or chat. Everyone I know in TV is very nice and helpful so don’t be shy with questions. Good luck mate and hope you find a great guild, TC is an amazing server. I’m not /cough biased that TV is the best of them :-P

If this is redundant then I apologize, please point me in the right direction.
I’m part of a very large guild that has been trying our best to keep active and representative members in the guild, but also have a full roster. We have been trying to manually keep track of active members, to increase our amazing guild’s moral and continued activity, but being at cap it seems there are very few ways in-game to easily track who has been on and when.
Unfortunately this takes a great deal of maintenance, which means I get to die less in Wv3.
We know there are probably some who have either quit, transferred servers, or probably just re-rolled etc. We also don’t want to accidentally punish members who are casual or extremely active because of a mistake or different time zones from the main leadership or other happenstance.
It doesn’t seem that there is a guild filter to see most recent log ins, or last time of login or what not. I’ve seen this in most other MMO’s and it’s been a huge asset for guild management.
I would really appreciate any guidance anyone can give, or direct me to other posts.

I’m one that definitely needs to work on my specs much better.
I play mostly WvWvW, and feel like I always need to have the long bow primarily equipped. I was doing sword/torch combo, but unfortunately gave up the torch for the war horn speed boost that you need just to keep up in a zerg.
The long bow has great uses in WvW but again the damage seems really low, as do pretty much all of our weapons. If you are focusing on the needs of a long bow all of your other abilities such as traps and pets are useless, especially in castle warfare, so you’re kind of kittened from that aspect.
I guess a huge portion of our usability is supposed to come from the traps and pets…? But those require you not be ranged, and even those have such little damage they are no deterant for anyone coming after you – i’m thinking the pets are more of a flag TO attack you.
If I’m solo and get attacked it’s usually over for me. Doesn’t matter if you drop all your traps on them, have the pet hitting them, even do the knock back shot to get some range on them they just keel you fast, or just try running away with every speed buff or snare trap on you… forget about it.
