Guild Wars 2

Prior to Anet starting their gear grind through ascended gear I would have and did wholeheartedly recommend GW2 to everyone. Now I most certainly would not. One of the major selling points of this game to me was that there was no constant gear progression that killed other mmo’s for me.

For the love of all that is holy get rid of ascended gear having improved stats and don’t bring any more terrible gear grind aspects back into my fun game please.

I’ll just sum up what I wrote out in the other thread.

Lag issues and buggyness of the event was terrible. The mobs were poorly designed or scaled for large group combat. The amount of time it took to kill anything because of their constant evading and condition removal made it more of a chore than a fun challenge.

More testing is needed prior to these sorts of events, and more bugs need to be squashed in the rest of the game before new content is added that will create new bugs. Still having the same events not starting bugs all over the world and in dungeons.

Gear treadmills are bad. I’ve been enjoying playing this game because I could get my max stats set of gear easily and then work on getting the looks of what I want on each set. For the love of all that is holy please discontinue this terrible plan of continuing to scale up gear! If you do insist on making the most powerful gear only available through pve then please keep it out of my wvw. I do not want to have to participate in dungeons just to stay on an even playing field with others.

I’m a huge fan of WvW and I’ll spend atleast a few hours in it each week. My realm avenger medal on the character selection screen hasn’t changed in the past month or so. I got through the first rank fine, but now I’m about 20% through the second rank and it just stopped.

Gah! At least my boosts had value! This stuff in the mad king chests isn’t good for anything. Turned the $20 I spent on gems into low value boosts and then into no value candy corn and plastic spider tonics.

$20 on gems to buy keys for nothing. Well I learned I won’t be doing that again!

Do you really have to make these just one time things? When I miss it on the 28th does that mean I’ll never get to experience it?
