I’ve been trying to destroy some items in my inventory to free up space – in particular, some stacks of finishing moves. The dialogue box tells me that I have to enter the item name to destroy it. I’ve tried all combinations of upper and lowercase names, spelling it exactly as it’s listed in the dialog box. However, the “Yes” button remains greyed out, and I only have the Cancel option.
Is this a bug, or is there some type of name syntax I’m not using correctly? If that’s the case, it needs to be explained more clearly in the dialogue box.
Good point. Sometimes it’s hard for me to get out of the single-player mindset.
And I guess the point could be made that keeping tutorials, tips, and guides out of the game opens up the door for more third-party publishers to create guidebooks, wikis, websites, etc.
Having said that, I think it’s easy to create frustration because the basics haven’t been explained well enough in-game.
Problem: Might only concern those at level 80, but I’ve found that the only information for how to find and craft attractive armor and weapons has been in the forums or other 3rd party sites – NOT in-game. I’m a casual player, and my current armor is what I’ve obtained through drops or purchasing on the Trading Post. I haven’t been able to find an NPC or in-game tip that tells me where I can purchase, gather, or craft “cultural”, “exotic”, “legendary”, “order” or any other armor other than the “default” types.
Suggestion: Add an NPC in Lion’s Arch that will tell you how to find armor and weapons for your profession. This NPC would point you to vendors, much like a scout reveals heart quests. They could ask you questions like, “What armor/weapons are you interested in?” And the answer choices could be things like, “Crafted”, “Exotic”, “Legendary”, “Order”, “Dungeon”, etc. Then further choices could be given.
This may be a dumb question binidj, but if you’re using the Formula 409 trait, does that make Toss Elixir R redundant? Would it be better to slot a different elixir or kit in its place?
