I’m using Short Bow, Sword/Pistol. Traits are 10/30/30/0/0. Superior Runes of the Pack. Armor is half Knights, half Valkyrie (rare 80, not exotic). Jewerly is Beserker with Rubys. Weapons are Beserker with Sigil of Accuracy (OH Sigil or Air).
Here’s a link to the Traits and Skills: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fYAQNAV8alUmaOHfy9E95Ey2jKcn4JuHFlT1UaFwJA;TkAqkMJJSymkLJZSLCGEspA
My current Power is 1981, Precision 1794, Toughness 1306, Vitality 1140
Which equates to 45% crit chance, and 13045 health.
What I’m looking for is something I can use in both PvE and WvW. I’m not really that open to changing my armor, jewelry, or runes simply because I spent so much getting it. I’m open to new skills, weapons, or completely changing my traits.
Much thanks in advance!
I’m down with this…. I really just want to know that I’m not going to be upgrading from Ascended gear again in 6m – 12m…
I’m okay with this added tier if this is the only time they do it. I’m not okay if they keep adding tiers and increasing legendaries each time to the top tier.
What this is going to boil down to for me is that I’m excusing this ridiculousness for now. But as soon as they add another tier, I’m gone. Not that it matters to them, they have my money…
Why would they just do it once? What would it achieve?
Getting the gear grinders to start playing again for a short period while they get the new tier and then quit again?
That would solve nothing. They need to do it all the time or not at all. They need to decide if they want to aim the game at gear grinders or non grinders. Because it’s impossible to please both.
The only reasonable answer to this is that it was planned before launch but did NOT make it into the game. There is evidence of this by the mined stats from Legendary weapons in beta being HIGHER than the Exotics.
As even more evidence, I’m quite sure the amount of development work it would take to release a new dungeon of this nature along with a new tier of items (if if it is just two pieces to start) is longer than 2-3 months.
As I said, this is fool me once, fool me twice type deal… I’m giving them a pass this once.

Honest question. Will they continue to be ran seeing as how the rewards won’t even be best in slot…?
The game is F2P, there is nothing to close. Uninstall and be done with it just like I hope most people will do and when the player count drops, maybe they’ll revisit their manifesto. Too bad by then it will be too late.
Wait. So I have worked my tail off to get 4 exotic armor sets for my level 80 character for different styles of play and now they are going to be basically useless because of a new tier of armor… Oh my…
Can you explain how the booster saves you money? I’m using the guides on gw2wiz and pre-buying all the materials. If I didn’t pre-buy, I’d have to spent a lot of time running back and forth between TP and station + waiting on orders to be filled (I never use buy immediately).
What exactly does this do? It says it increases the chance to gain bonus experience from crafting. I’m leveling using only crafting and this is how it’s gone starting in LA at level 2 and leveling each craft to 400…
Armorsmith (with Booster):
Leveled from 2 – 16 (14 levels)
Artificing (without Booster)
Leveled from 16 – 26 (10 levels)
Huntsman (with Booster)
Leveled from 26-36 (10 levels)
Jeweler (without Booster)
Leveled from 36-46 (10 levels)
Leatherworker (with Booster)
Leveled from 46-56 (10 levels)
How in the world did I get 14 levels with Armorsmithing? Was it the booster and I’ve just been unlucky with them since then?
We are currently on Ehmry Bay but will consider transfer. He has an 80 Guardian and an 80 Elementalist, I have an 80 Mesmer.
Looking for an active guild with 20+ online during evening hours in North America where it is easy to get a group together to do a dungeon, sPvP, or WvW when we login. We both work full time and have families, but are serious about our time when we can play (which is why we want a larger guild so getting a group quickly is more possible).
Send message tonight or reply here.
It is PvE build. Why would Phantasms die too quickly? Is that just the nature of them? If so, seems shattering is the only legit way to go.
No comments still? Is it so terrible you can’t comment? :-/
That bad or that good…. no comments at all.
I’m completely clueless when it comes to making builds, I’ve just always sort of done whatever, but I want to try to create a Phantasm build. I’ve come up with the following:
I feel like I’m spread pretty thin because I have points in all trees. I’m not sure I like having any in Chaos but I feel like the Toughness on my character is low, and I know Toughness is transferred to your illusions (unlike Vitality).
My gear is level 80 rare, Berserkers (Power, Precision, Crit Dam) and I’ve got Major Rune of the Dolyak in 4 pieces, and Major Rune of the Soldier in 2 (can’t afford Superior yet).
I’m using a Staff (Power, Precision, Crit Dam) with a Superior Sigil of Force (5% damage) and Sword (Power, Precision, Crit Dam) with Major Sigil of Strength (Might 7s on Crit) and Pistol (Power, Precision, Crit Dam) with Major Sigil of Frailty (Vulnerability on Crit).
My accessories are mostly Power, Precision, Crit Dam with Toughness, Vitality, gems…
I’m need eough Power/Precision to do DPS for dungeons (which I have quite a bit), but need Toughness and Vitality so I don’t die immediately (not look for complete glass cannon). Toughness bonus because it goes to Illusions.
