A good keybind system is very important imho (especially in PVP).
Here is mine (good enough for me, but I’m looking for new ideas):
e, s, f: movement (forward, left, right)
d: dodge
a, q, w, r, t: weapon skills
ALT+ a, q, w, r, t: heal, utility skills, elite
z, x, c, v: profession skills
ALT+x: weapon change (press with thumb both)
g: interact
SPACE: jump
There are two major advantages:
-I can keep the middle finger on forward key all the time (this is the reference point) meanwhile all skills are accessible
-the directional dodges can be done even with one finger (by pressing the corresponding two -or three!- keys at same time).
I marked the fingering too (only musicians knows the importance of right fingering )
Please help me (and the GW2 community) with sharing your thoughts, your keybinds and the philosophy behind
Some tips for leveling:
-remap (and use!) your keyboard: GW2 keybinds
-use leap combos all the time to keep chaos armor up (like staff 5 then staff 2, or some ethereal combo field then mainhand sword 3, 3 again for leap then 2, wait two sec, dodge back)
-keep moving forever
A well played mesmer never will die)
What about a pretty simple solution (already used in another NCSoft mmo ;-) ?
There is an option (accessible via shortkey too), that hides all bodies, but all character names remains visible.
Several hundreds people caused horrible lag too, but by activating this “bodyhidder” option the lag just disappeared.
