And that’s the sad joke, HGH is nothing new, its not some amazing new spec because of a buff last patch.
If they really nerf HGH instead of addressing might stacking runes which are the real problem, it proves this game is balanced around forum whiners, as has been said, Ele’s have been OP for months, they still are, a decent Thief or Mesmer will eat a HGH Engi for breakfast.
Sad, really sad!
It would be sad, especially seeing as though half this thread seems to be the posts of one misinformed mesmer player
False. Engineers can add more boons than can be removed/converted. The fact that you posted that discredits you.
Remove a stack of might from a HGH Engineer midfight and then it’ll either fight you without might or take a lot of time out of attacking you in order to regain 9x~ might. Either way it’s a fight changing move and a weakness of the HGH Engineer.
Maybe instead of nerfing HGH, it’s time to buff gadgets/turrets so that we can actually see some build variety.
Though I do think that this whole whine is silly – there’s no difference between learning to move left to right to dodge grenades as there is knowing when to dodge a Mesmers shatter. You give up so much to maintain those 15~ stacks of might that I wouldn’t mind to see the build replaced though.
5v5 hotjoin may as well be renamed to “dueling zones”, and there’s no purely solo queue. Both premades and solo players join the same queue and end up fighting each other.
Or at least a 5v5 hotjoin in which you can’t leave?
Learning mechanics is impossible in the 8v8 zerg fests, and getting stomped by pre-mades is still no fun.
I would have thought the need for a solo queue would be self evident, and it doesn’t actually seem that difficult to implement.
Thanks for all the advice, have already taken in the simpler points and will work on the more difficult ones over the next few weeks.
Cheers
Really, the question is in the title. How do you handle Mesmers?
Answer first for an ideal situation (say, WvWvW where you can change out skills accoridngly), then for sPvP.
I found that with my bunker bomber, I could hold out vs Mesmers, but with a P/P condition build I stand little chance.
It’s even worse when they get the jump on me, as the 6~seconds I have to spend finding the Mesmer is time s/he’s taken to wipe a big part of my health.
Thanks (preemptively) for the comments/advice
