scrapper, revenant is looking for a team. Got quite a few ranked games, but no tournament experience(go4, esl and so on) as of yet. Im currently playing in a casual team, but i want to step it up a bit again.
Im currently looking for a team that is ambitious but isnt going overboard with that. My primary goal is to do well in the upcoming pvp season, though i got no problem to play occasionally in tournaments. Fun is important though. Im willing to invest quite a bit, but rl and the fun at the game are the most important thing. Im playing in the gmt+1 timezone and im online nearly every evening.

Well from a thief’s perspective i cant engage against DH alone, though thats not that much different from before.
Evading the traps isnt an option if theres that trap that creates a barrier, so i rather not engage at all. Ranged battle isnt an option either since most dragonhunters got that sweet longbow with them that hurts like hell aswell. Cooldown on the most damaging trap is 20 sec at max, so there isnt much time to deal dmg to the guard at close range.

At the end theres no point in fighting them alone, so i rather dont do it.

Does that mean that they are too strong? Well, dmg seems a bit high in general and since im playing thief im pretty much kittened anyways right now, so theres that. I can only say that theres nearly no other class out there that can burst as good as a DH.

Im looking for a pvp team/guild/whatever to play sPvP. I took a several months long break before because i was really tired of the game. But now im willing to give this another try here

A quick reminder though since it seems that all “looking for..”-threads are in the same section now: Im ONLY looking for possibilites to play sPvP. Im good when it comes to pve. Just fyi.

Well, before i took that break i usually played guardian, engineer and thief, although im pretty sure im equally bad with all of them now. The rust is real. I also used to play a lot of spvp back then, but idk how much of that knowledge is still useful. I played ~4k ranked games back then if the amount of games is useful for you.

Well, i’ve read your post. Warrior changes are needed, indeed. Its weird how they can be invincible for a few secs. Though theres a reason why there is smth. like that i guess. Its just like with the condition immunity of the engineer. Try to play vs a good condition class without it. You’ll die. You cant dodge everything. I’d rather do smth. about the condition ‘burst’ of engineers and necros (though it hurts my heart to say that as an engineer player).
Its propably a good idea to start at the conditions itself. You did that too Sensotix. I agree with the criple, fear and propably with the bleeding stuff.
Torment? Hm. I hope you forgot to write there that ppl should only get half of the dmg of what they are getting right now while they are moving. Otherwise, the change of double dmg while not moving wouldnt make that much sense. If you want to punish ppl for not moving around, go all the way :P
Other stuff like burning, chilling and so on… Im not quite sure about that. But its rather possible that all the condition classes would be useless then. Ppl would have to use their conditions more carefully. Propably. Im not sure if ppl would make the effort if you can play on a easier way. Like playing offguard. Or s/d – thief ( that WILL be still kittening strong after the upcoming patch, no worries). Or the god kitten knockback-engi, that seems to be getting popular. I personally dont like the idea of just pushing ppl around and not fighting them, but it seems to be easier. I imagine that the tank/knockback – meta will be getting more popular then too (its already popular though, i know…).

hi. Already had a thread like that 2 weeks ago, but shortly after creating it i decided to wait a bit longer due to some private issues.
Trying that again now, starting with that data sheet from the thread of xeph. Kinda like that one, its a short and compact list of eveything you might wanna know.

Ingame name: Takaija/Lija
Main Class / Potential Classes: Engineer, Thief.
Region: EU/GER (GMT+2)
Practice Times: ~7pm gmt+2 till 11-12pm gmt+2. Im propably capable of playing nearly every day of the week.
Experience: I got some i guess. More then ~1600 won tournaments. Most of them in that what you would call team queue. I also could add that i got to rank 56 without all the skyhammer farming stuff, but thats propably not worth anything.
Other Stuff: Im just looking for a team thats playing a couple of times each week. It would be great if you actually would know a bit about playing tournaments, tactics and so on.

Edit: Im prepared to learn/play other classes and builds too, as long as it isnt the bunker guard stuff. I really hate that and im not willing to play it again.

our new team right here is searching right now for a 5th team member!
Well, who are we anyways? You propably want to know that before you consider applying.
We are 4 people who had a long guild wars 2 break until like 3 weeks ago (well, except me, but that doesnt matter).
And now with all those cool tournaments that came up we are trying to get into tpvp again.
With this said, we all used to be considerably good before that whole leaderboard thing.
But well, due to not playing at all (or in my case being a solo queue’r) we are not ranked right now.
Even so, we got some expierence with tournaments and we are all rank 40+. We may seem to be scrubs from time to time, but
we actually know how to do it right :P
For our goals, we want to be at the top, kinda like every other team out there. But we are realistic enough to know that this will take a
lot of time. So dont expect any miracles here. Anyways, we want to work for that stuff to happen.

Hope that answers the most questions about us. I dont really know what to say else about that. Lets get to the next point.
What do we want?

A 5th player like i already wrote. The class doesnt matter at all, we are flexible at that point. Whats important for us is that
the person is open to new things (maybe things that are not part of the current meta^^). Also we want someone who is able to take criticism. We are aiming to be a good team, so we kinda
need that ability. Its the same for us though, we actually need someone who tells us what we did wrong.
The last point that we are asking for is a good understanding of that what is going on in tournaments. We dont want to tell that person
what he or she needs to do in certain situations. Though no one is perfect at that point, so dont get discouraged

You pretty much got it wrong, yep. 100% is the goal that you wanna achieve with your wins. Its actually right the way it is now – you lose a few percents when you lose a match, you get some with a win.

But, corresponding to the threads name, is it possible that the leaderboards are kinda bugged atm? I won like 5 tournament matches today, none of them counted there. The leaderboards just tell me that i havent played since yesterday.

Im from Germany/EU and im able to play nearly everyday in the evening from 7pm to idk, 12pm(GMT+2). Im a student in rl, so im not too much restricted at that point.

Got some experience with various teams. I dont mind playing with a team with not that much experience as long as you are really motivated to get better. Would prefer a decent team tho. W/e. Just pm me if you think you could need me.

I’ve played in several smaller teams that you might not know. They all disbanded because some players left the game or well, there was one case with some personal issues. Nothing tragical. Im currently part of a team thats playing not as often as i would like to, thats basically why im searching for a new opportunity. They actually know that im doing so.
I played the most of my matches as a def guard, but just as i wrote, i also got experience as a engi(hgh and def) and i rather would like to play an engineer instead of the def guard thingy. But well, im playing Guardian too if i really have to.

Im just looking for a team thats motivated enough to play on like 3-4 days each week.
I dont care that much if you are already a high-ranked team or not. As long as you want to be good everything’s fine.

Basically what happened: We were watching the leader boards and saw a bug crop up with a small # of accounts. We held leader boards while we fixed the bug.

You are still working on it. Ok, thats good enough for now. I’ve already critized enough stuff , im happy with little improvements. :> But still, you are a bit late with that info.

Incorrectly working leaderboards wouldnt make them community happy. Ok, thats true. But thats not the problem here Martin. We just want to know why we are still waiting. Were there some unforseen errors and problems? Is this stuff just not progressing as fast as you thought it would?
We just want to know whats going on, thats all. When its ready/soon and that stuff, yep its cool that you are telling us that you know about the pvp community. But its certainly nothing that would satisify our needs. There are tons of people that had high hopes for these leaderboards. But now, erf… a few days after that certain week where everyone expected the leaderboards, theres just that feeling of dissapointment.

I played that game/the spvp till the very first beta. I always thought it could become something great. And im one of those few people from back then that are still playing pvp. You told us back then this game could become a esport. But every day i get higher doubts if i still should invest my precious time in a pvp thats not getting better at all and that is certainly not even becoming close to be anything like a esport.

When im comparing the pvp from the first beta and that one from now, there were changes, yep. But its changes like: 3 new maps, no paids anymore, no tickets. Things that were certainly promised, like custom arenas, leaderboards or that spectator-mode are still missing, while you promised all of that a long time ago. You are just going on with giving us release dates for this stuff, we are getting our hopes up, and then? Nothing. No updates for the pvp.

Its the same with these leaderboards. You are not delivering your stuff when you told us you would do so. And afterwards you dont tell us why you dont deliver. And threats wont make it better. Just be fair please.

I know that it was stated in the pre-patch announcement that leaderboards could “take up to a week” to finally be visible. Tomorrow is the end of that week, and I’m just wondering if there is any time/timeframe we can expect to actually see the leaderboards?
To me, “up to a week” implies that a week is the latest point at which the leaderboards will be visible.

The chances of me actually getting a dev response are slim to none, though, because they’re working on the magical mystery box…

Try to think about that from the position of the developer that wants to earn money with that game – what would you care more about? pve or pvp?
PvP does not create any kind of profits. PvP players dont spend money in the shop(Because they dont get anything out of it except 1 skin-set. and that stupid backpack thingy. wow.). So why should they care about them?
