This is not a new issue. Blank page of BLTP goes back to launch. It’s just a reoccurring problem. I’m now experiencing it personally. I had not experienced this problem before personally (although many others had), but it works after restarting the client (usually). When I first log into the game, it’s fine and easily accessible. After playing for awhile and attempting to access it, blank page appears. It’s very annoying and nearly game-breaking as I can’t access the Cash Shop/Gem Store, Trading Post to buy items, sell items, browse items, etc…
Mouse losing focus -right click to turn not working [Merged]

Shame, but I’m having the same problem. Logged back into GW2 to check out the Lion’s Arch debacle and immediately experienced this problem. Updated software/drivers for the mouse, same exact problems. GW2 only program/game where this issue occurs. So, uninstalled GW2. Kind of stinks having to uninstall a game because the mouse doesn’t work, when the mouse works with EVERY OTHER PROGRAM. And, seeing as how this forum topic covers around 12 months and 11 pages of problems you’d think the customers would get a developer response here. I sure hope it’s resolved soon.
I think it’s a good idea. More customization is nearly always a good thing.
Trying to keep this thread/suggestion alive. A Pet Panel should be added. For most, the pets are an inconvenience due to them taking up bag space and constantly being deposited.
Agreed. I literally have no idea which paths I’ve done, which maps I’ve completed for the Living World events, etc… Very strange that this never crossed the mind of any developers during development or the recent UI changes.
1.Gathering Tools
Very simple request, really. I would like to see the Chop-It-All Logging Axe, Consortium Harvesting Sickle, and Molten Alliance Mining Pick changed to ACCOUNT BOUND like the Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic. I have bought all 3 for one character, but will not for the other seven I have. It’s just a huge inconvenience to spend $30 USD for a convenience item that becomes very inconvenient due to being bound to one character. This inconvenience wasn’t readily recognizable until my warrior lost status as Main. Now, I have a shelved character that has these items that aren’t being used. Therefore, for me the item has become useless. This now gives me a feeling of losing money in the deal. The reason is that this product that I thought was a good buy, but for the price of real money I discovered that it wasn’t. This is solely due to it being bound to this ONE character. Until the change from soul bound to account bound occurs, my purchasing anything from the gem store using real currency is very unlikely. However, changing these items to account bound greatly increases the value of these items, as well as the buyer feeling as if they have truly gotten $30 USD worth of items (permanent content opposed to not). Please consider this.
2. Armor/Weapon Skins
Make them permanent and reusable like the Zenith Skins. I would seriously consider purchasing ALL armor skins (even the ugly/silly ones) just because they would be permanent and reusable.
3. Town Clothes
Craftable – Allow players an entire new line of crafting just for town clothes.
Speed Buff – Give a permanent speed buff in (ONLY) cities while wearing town clothes. Keep speed buff vendors in cities for those that choose NOT to wear town clothes.
4. Sales
Never have non-seasonal items removed from the gem store. Only list limited-time items that associate with a specific time of year (in the real world) such as Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, etc… People cannot buy items from the Gem Store if the Gem store doesn’t have the item (great logic there, I know). Instead of removing items from the Gem Store, have randomly-dated sales instead. Better yet, have package deals, i.e. all 3 gathering tools (account bound) for $20 bucks. You might just have people spending that money just so they don’t HAVE to switch gathering tools from character to character. Many people will pay good money for convenience.
These are just a few suggestions I have. These are my personal preferences, but also I have friends that play that seem to lean toward these as well. I’ve also spoken in-game to others that seem to agree with some/most of these suggestions. I hope you take the time to consider these suggestions that could potentially have a positive affect on the current state of the game.
My apologies if some/all of these have been mentioned in others posts. The search feature of the the forums is very lackluster and doesn’t seem to work very well.
Thank you, and God bless.
Agreed. Like others, I would be more-inclined to buy all skins, even the ugly ones, just because they’d be permanent and reusable.
Confirmed as still bugged on Tarnished Coast. Thank you.

Tarnished Coast – still bugged. Has been bugged since launch. Agree with above poster(s) for the want of removal for this event. Not only is it bugged and preventing completion, the npc’s have the Determined buff and are immune to damage. Very dangerous area to find yourself.
I also would like to see this implemented. I was surprised it wasn’t when the new, more-streamlined UI was released. I love the new UI, but was a bit disappointed to see that (for example) I have 3/4 paths completed for Flame Citadel Foe. Does that mean I need to do Story Mode for CoF to complete this? Path 1? Path 2? Path 3? I just don’t know without redoing ALL paths again, hoping I complete the missing path. Good idea to have which path has been completed. Thank you!
Display Driver/addapter stops responding at Character Select?

Not sure about that card, but seeing as how it’s a Signature Series I’m guessing that it is factory overclocked. I have the exact same problem on my overclocked 9800gt, but ONLY with this game. When I underclock or reset to factory default (non-oc’d settings), everything is fine. I’ve been attempting to find the reason why it’s this way with THIS game, as every other game I have allows me to successfully overclock and play. Even benchmarking programs show me stable. I have aftermarket cooler that keeps my 9800gt at a cool temp of 32-40 degrees celcius, so overheating is NOT an issue. I would really like to discover why this game does not allow overclocking…
Bugged also on Tarnished Coast.
In GW1 costumes were actually useful because you could combat in them. Gone are the days of logical ANet.
While in no way a game breaker for me, I agree that this was a very surprising feature that was not implemented into the game, seeing as how the Cash Shop vanity items were such an important money-maker for ArenaNet in GW1. With them changing such a significant feature that seems to be making very little money (speculation at this point, but from what I’ve seen from the many quotes online regarding this issue, I don’t think many are even interested in costumes/town clothes AT ALL) I’m wondering if they will more-than-likely revamp the entire system to allow a Wardrobe feature (like LotRO or GW1) in addition to the town clothes? I just don’t forsee many people wearing town clothes with the current system seeing at how hideous many race-specific town clothes are. Not to mention the lack of variety available. Someone at ArenaNet definitely needs to take notice of this issue, in my opinion.
I might be mistaken, but I think that I read here in some thread that applying jewels or runes will turn the manufactured items into being soulbound. I don’t remember if they really show off the change or not.
If this is what’s happening, then it is a bug and unintended. Soulbound items are either those labeled as such, i.e. “Soulbound on Use” or Karma-purchased items. Applying Runes or Sigils does not soulbound an item, as this is a good way to increase value of the item. Besides, if that was the case, then I would not have been able to mail the heavy armor boots that I mentioned in my previous post, as they had been runed just like all the other armor pieces. This is definitely a bug and I’m hoping it gets squashed. This problem has arisen in only the last patch or two, as this was never an issue before. I’ve played since beta, have 2 80s and numerous alts and I just encountered this. I’m hoping ArenaNet gets this issue resolved soon.
I have the EXACT same problem. I had purchased a full set of gear for my son’s guardian. I was playing my thief. So, after purchasing these items, I also purchased the runes and sigils for them. I applied those sigils/runes to the armor/weapons before sending. I was able to send the FINE quality gear without problem. However, I had a problem sending the majority of the MASTERWORK gear. The only MASTERWORK item I was able to mail was the pair of boots. Every other MASTERWORK item could not be attached, instead showing a red bordered box appearing in the attachment placement tabs. None of these items were soulbound or bought with Karma. I purchased everything mentioned above from the Trading Post. Now, the only option when I right click the items is to Destroy (no preview available due to temporarily-disabled non-class armor preview) or Preview (weapons only). I can’t even resell these back on the Trading Post. They act like soulbound or karma items, yet they are neither of these. They still retain the “Soulbound on Use” subtitle.
I saw several great suggestions for this:
1) Allow players to craft town clothes. Have everyday town clothes available through crafting. Allow costumes (clothes with toys) to be purchased from the Gem Store. When this happens, add more variety to the Gem Store.
2) Wearing Town Clothes in cities/safe zones gives a permanent speed boost (as long as the clothes are worn). Remove the Speed Boon NPCs when this is implemented.
3) Have ALL town clothes give a hotbar with clothes-specific actions. Bartender outfit allows the serving of drinks, rag to wipe the counter tops/tables, etc. Those that are just generic/everyday clothes give generic actions such as haggle, argue, laugh, etc.
4) Implement the ability to earn town clothes via personal story.
These are just a few of the ones that I and others came up with. I’m sure that the community could come up with many more, but the above would add to the richness of the game. I would love to see more variety. Best way to do that is allow players to create/craft many different types of clothing.
Not everyone that WvWvW is level 80. There are some of us that would actually enjoy leveling in WvWvW, so taking away the ability to escort Dolyaks takes away a very viable way of earning experience and karma while participating. I keep seeing arguments that defend the removal because of bots. If you see a bot, report it and move on. ArenaNet needs to focus/remain diligent in their fight against the bots, but don’t remove important game components in doing so. Find another way to remove bots other than remove a fun portion of the game (and, yes, I find escorting Dolyaks to be a very fun and rewarding way of passing the time).
Please implement the ability to sit in chairs, benches, lay down on beds, etc. As it stands (pardon the pun) currently, when you stand on a chair/bed and /sleep or /sit, the character will perform the action THROUGH the object.
The ability to interact with chairs should be a standard ingredient for the recipe of any MMO. Just like chat bubble and emotes, interactive chairs should be implemented.
The idea that players can sit on benches and in chairs?? BRILLIANT!
Great guild and community with events and guild activities. Let’s keep it going.
Confirmed as still bugged on Tarnished Coast. Trahearne and the explorers are just standing with me at the green waypoint at the southern tip of the cave. Nothing happens.
The eyelid problem seems to definitely be a bug. However, the face markings are really the beginner Necromancer mask/headslot item. Cutscenes remove the headpiece, so this is normal. Eyelid problem definitely not normal.
The adjustment I was speaking of is VOIP Ducking. It’s under options. I had forgotten what it was called.
Also, you may want to test your RAM, as it could be a stick starting to go defective. I did notice that it states that memory couldn’t be written, so it could be a bad stick of ram. This may explain why you can play the game for awhile and then it crashes as more ram is being used, it reaches that specific line, then crashes.
Check here for some good, free memory-testing programs: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/tp/memorytest.htm
Try adding " <space>-repair " after your program path in the shortcut to the game. It will re-verify all game files and repair them if necessary. After finishing the verify/repair, remove the -repair after the shortcut or it will do a verify/repair on EVERY launch using that shortcut. I actually created two shortcuts, one for repair and the other for everyday launch.
I believe there may be a setting to adjust game sound if a headset microphone is active. It may pertain to 3rd party chat programs, or may be a setting for a future-implementation of Anet’s own voip, though I’m not sure. Anyway, the setting is actually a slider-bar in the sound settings that you can adjust which volume preference you want the game to drop to when microphone is active. Like I said, I’m not sure if this will work, but you could always try it…
Seems to now be resolved. Received the same error message about 10 minutes ago, but now able to log in. Thanks!
