(5) Camera orientation changing seems like it would be very jaring when in combat. I would be curious to hear your ideas for a control scheme for this.

(5b) Would this be like a ‘lock on target’ look-at?

I believe this one was well implemented in Perfect World (I might be wrong) where you could freely control the camera within a certain range of your character. This should be deactivated for PvP (anyways it used to be used for Videos and SS).

Well this video is old but should give a decent idea of what I’m talking about.

Grimno’s Video

Hahahaha that video reminded me of this one, diff game same style. Eve Hell

The definition of a grind-fest MMORPG: One where you kill the same monster tens of thousands of times to gain a single level (because each kill is giving you .00001 experience out of a 100) and be able to use that new weapon you got, then die accidentally (or to another player who decided to kill you) and DE-level and no longer be able to use that weapon and have to do it over again. Those were the days.

That isn’t too bad then honestly. I’m sure the clipping issues are a pain but not needing to use transmutation charges sounds great and having it on all characters.

I think I’ll go buy a costume, or two lmao. Thanks by the way

Rannndom off topic/ on topic question. Buying the Halloween costumes, can you still wear them after the event time, or do they go away until the next year? Also, buying any costume in general, are those permanently yours or can you only wear them for x amount of days?

Just curious, I’ve looked on the wiki and can’t seem to find an answer and I won’t name names but I have played games where you could buy an outfit and it had say, a 30 day duration, which kind of stunk.

If it does have a duration, then +1 to no outfits lol.

Too few players wanting difficult content?

I haven’t played since around launch and I’m currently patching the game and decided to read the forums while I wait to see what’s up. I’m a filthy casual player. After highschool, life tends to do that to you.

So in my general case, having content that I could actually get to while only being able to play a couple nights over the weekend is ideal. At the same time, when I had all that free time in the past I was a hardcore mmo player and that still sticks with me. I loved to see people with insane gear and seeing content that was hard to get to and hard to beat. I was always thinking, “Wow I can’t wait until I can get that and see those things.” I rarely did mind you (alt-oholic, no matter what game I play lol) but I love challenging game play. Dark souls 2 anyone?

That being said before I make it too obvious that my whole life is one big contradiction, I can stand behind difficult content that requires thought or player skill. At the same time make that fun, challenging content, accessible to the larger player base. I don’t believe there should be unwritten rules where challenging content, if it exist, should only be reserved to those who can dedicate x amount of time to the game.

I may not be able to play often, but when I do a challenging dungeon or encounter that I can go to is always welcome.
