So this has been on my mind for a few days and have no decided to bring it to the forums. Something needs to change if crafting is to continue as a viable method of making money. I don’t want to spend my time farming or playing the TP in order to get money so please listen in.
I never really gave the listing fee much thought when I posted things on the TP, but yesterday i suddenly realized that it actually cuts my profit from my jewelry in half? What does that leave me with? A profit of roughly 5% of the price I listed the items for. In the retail world that would be considered a full loss where you aim for a profit of 20%+ and tell you what; when you use 2g+ on mats for ONE item it is rather risky to go for a profit of 10 to 15 silver.
So what can be done? The obvious problem is that people don’t realize how little money they make as I expect the minority of crafters to actually have spreadsheets to plot their profit, so a method that makes it clear to people how little they actually make. Either that or take away the taxes on craftings or at least lower the 10% sell-fee to something more reasonable.
I don’t want to play a risky game of chess when I spend over 2 gold of money only to see a puny profit of 10 silver yet risk that some uninformed and careless player lists the items lower and draws down the buy-line to a place where you lose money and where I to follow and list the item once more I would already be in negative income due to listing fee.
So please do something about this ANet.
Right now, when you activate an authenticator, it says that in order for you to disable it again you will need to contact costumer support service (CSS). I did this and was told that I simply had to go into Account recovery. (aka using the “Forgot Password?” function when trying to log in)
If this is always the way to deactivate an authenticator I highly suggest changing the message that appears when activating it so that future people won’t be wasting hours in waiting for CSS when they can fix it themselves.
Thank you in advance,

Also i like well of suffering because it does give some damage for me and also those allies who are in area it gives protection (that protection trait from death magic)
Really? Because the tooltip makes it sound like it only grants the caster protection for casting it, and not on every tick.
Again it seems much more CC and DPS focused than the Con-Boon build I am looking for. :-/
I’ve run with my con-based DPS spec for some time now and I am interested in seeing how the Necro will contribute to the group with next to full-out support, and not so much hybrid.
Not bad, though there are a couple of things that strikes me as weird.
- I am not sure how useful Chill is in dungeons. They may be good in PvP but often there really isn’t much room to run around on, so having chill on blind…is that really necessary?
- For the same reason I’d also go with focus rather than warhorn. I guess it’s because I am looking more for a Con-Boon build rather than a CC build, which yours seems rather focused on, am I right? Focus does give you a boon removal after all.
- And given the OPness of Signet of Undeath I cannot see a reason why not to use that as a standard utility skill?
- Why not drop Well of Suffering for Spectral Wall which gives vulnerability as well but also protection to allies?
I am interested in hearing what people may think of this build; focusing on Staff as main weapon and using axe and focus for vulnerability and boon removal. Though what I am mostly interested in in regards to feedback is the traits.
Hey folks,
I have been unable to find a good theorycrafting site for our beloved class so I will ask in here instead. I am looking for a good support build for Dungeons as I don’t plan on doing much PvP (if any at all) and am getting bored of my condition-DPS spec.
So, any help?
Yup, still bugged. C’mon ANet, 4 days of trying solutions and still no fix?
I have a suggestions regarding GMotD: Make it more apparent!
I suggest doing it similar to either SWTOR where it was displayed in a pop-upbox upon log-in, or as WoW where it is posted in the chat-box upon login. Because as it is right now it is only visible by reading it in the guild-pane and I find that a lot of people are overseeing it there, thus missing important information.
Thank you for your consideration.

So we actually have to worsen our graphical quality to get the correct colors? Well that just sad!
Please fix this, ANet, or at least include an option to disable it in case it’s an intended feature.
To be honest no dye should be more black than a ‘Black Dye’. If it due to a feature that is actually intended in the game I highly suggest an option to turn it off because it renders the dye system useless when it doesn’t look like you want it to.
@Dez
It doesn’t have anything to do with that because it looks perfectly fine in the hero pane <H>.
Now I am uncertain whether this is linked to the black dye itself or the Teir 1 Sylvari Racial (female) gear, but my armor is in no way black. Yes it is the black dye that is on it and yes it shows perfect blackness in the Hero pane <H>, but out in the world it is much more grey and even turns purple sometimes. It is as if either the dye or the armor is reflecting the colors around the character.
Please fix this as I would love my gear to be black when I use a black dye, and not some weird reflecting shades.
