This needs to be addressed(Mystic forge and Legendary Pre-cursors)

I would be really happy if Anet simply remove all the crappy and arcaic RNG involved in the legendary craft so we could trace a goal and reach it with our own efforts instead of getting it trough “luck”.

C’mon Anet, make a recipe for these precursors, a recipe that is worth, lets say, 50g in order to make it, and i guess people will be happy.

i agree, legendary should be more about hard work and dedication.
cant combine that with gamble.
its better to make hard and expensive recipe than putting ur money on a totally random gambling machine like mystic forge hahaha

they need to make leather and scrap salvage rate higher perhaps
since both considered basic mats like metals and woods but the salvage rate is quite low

they should just make it like a mystic clover recipe at the very least.
yes its still a gamble but at least ure on the right track.

keep up the spirit Celestea one day u will get it one way or another
dont give up hope
but less gambling would be nice tho

The lack of the "trinity" is just killing my PvE enjoyment

holy trinity:

tank – stuck to take all damage for its entire life, tank died, blame stupid tank for not taking aggro properly / blame stupid healer for not healing properly

healer – stuck to heal team mates for its entire life, healer / tank died, blame stupid healer for not healing properly / blame tank for not taking aggro properly

dps – basically just dpsing all around, the best job imho (in a sarcastic way), hard to find group since its population is the biggest, too many dps competitor, can also be blamed if healer of tank died bcos not dpsing adds properly

no holy trinity:
yes, battle may seems uncoordinated, chaotic, but u get to change role anytime u want, ur friend having a hard time tanking? u get in the line, see ur friend tank mob, u get to dps, ur friend down? u can be a healer by coming straight at them and help them to rally.
no strategy? no such thing, strategy always develop in battle, u stuck with one scenario? u try to find solution by urself and ur team mates that fits u.
no trinity makes u a better player, it force u to learn the dynamics of battle in every situation. ure not thinking only just to kill boss, ads or mobs, u also think to help ur comrades in battle.

just a thought or two

Thank you!

I really like this thread

Thank you alone wont be enough for the experience given with GW2.

I bought GW2 for both myself and my wife, then bought another 2 for my best friend and her boyfriend which also happened my best man at my wedding. Bought it for their bday present

Oh, bought 1 also for my lil bro

Then, i promoted it to my fellow co-worker in the office, which 2 of them finally bought it. One of them then manage to persuade 4 of his mates to dive into GW2 too!

Im so happy to tell everyone im having such a good time with this game.

THANK YOU Anet!

My wife and i having a great time explorin!
The personal story makes ur character looks important.
I like the cities look so alive, especially Divinity Reach
I just hope Anet can tweak the dungeon more so it wont feel too harsh and if we have to get through it with lots of effort, an appropriate reward would be nice.
Im not saying this just because me and my wife are casual players, but also for the hardcores out there.

Overall, Anet really did a good job on GW2! Bravo!

Magic Find - now completely useless?

so i changed it into my gear stat preferences since last night
and it feels great its like a huge burden have been lifted
if ure bound to be lucky, then ure lucky, simple as that
but yeah, just bring it along to open chests or when u want to salvage rare for ectos

Things I'm not happy about with GW2

i dont play this game to become the strongest or the richest, or even the most famous person in entire GW2.
i play it simply because its fun!
i dont care how long i need to forge my legendary weapon
perhaps 1 year, perhaps more, perhaps less
but when i do eventually get it, i will look back with a smile full of satisfaction
it’s been a journey, and finally im among the legendaries!

my suggestion is, relax and enjoy the game, no need to rush
dont make playing this as an obligation, play it simply because u want to be in it

:)

An amazing race that should be playable.

Dolyak as a humanoid character should be very interesting though! Just like the Kodans

Gw2's grind compared to other mmos

i would say GW2 grind is more of a choice to pursuit of ur own ambition.
both me and my wife are a very casual player, we play mostly only 2-3 hours during weekdays, and longer on weekends.
we both reached 80 on our 2nd week playing and just last night i fully crafted my knight exotic set
things that never actually come to our mind that the feeling of progress comes so naturally within our playtime & exploration
“we actually reached top level with top equipments!”
these kind of thing may require much more dedication in other MMO’s
we never grinded, we explore and have fun
i have to say, in my whole experience of playing MMO’s, this is the game that feels so right for me and my wife

so, no its not a grind fest, its about what u choose to do as OP said

An amazing race that should be playable.
