I’ve found that the highest drop rate for me was ‘gathering’ nodes (i.e., vegetables, etc… not wood or metal nodes). Look for the areas that a lot of gathering nodes clumped together. It seems like if you gather a bunch of gathering nodes at once you have a higher chance to get a dye; but I know in reality the chance in normalized.

Look for places in Queensland. I’ve seen them in the Shiverspine Peaks area too. Oh, the BLTC has packs you can buy (one of them will be a rare dye).

Who cares about looks??! Use a transmute stone for crying out loud and you can make it look like ANY shortbow skin you do like!

I just saved my money the best I could up to 50…until I just couldn’t handle NOT having my level 40 skill book any longer. I managed to get up to 90 silver. I broke down and bought some gems…which I exchanged into gold. The game is very anti-farmer…I tried all kinds of strategies to gain money – farm mobs for drops, killing humanoids for cash, etc. Nothing seemed to work.

My advice…exchange gems for gold…you’ll be happier…but poorer in real life
