This thread sounds like a hate group. Time to convert it into a support group!
Everyone isn’t the same. There are certain things that come easier to some than to others. If you put it the other way about, some people may require a lot more effort to learn certain things than others.
What I feel is that the people posting here crying about mesmers, after the phase when it was cool to hate mesmers is over, just seem to have a harder time learning how to deal with mesmers. It would be a lot better if you admit this and take some time playing a mesmer or practising with a friendly mesmer rather than comforting each other by insulting ANet or the mechanics of the mesmer class which I believe is a breath of fresh air.
Also before I get accused, I haven’t touched my mesmer in 2 months.

Thanks for the tips guys! I used the boon duration + runes method and retreat+save yourself to get nearly 100% uptime on swiftness.
Hey guys.
I’m building up my guardian as my alt. She is currently level 44 and I was wondering if there are ways I could achieve permanent swiftness(for map exp.). If you guys could post one of your builds that have it or tips on how to get it, it would be much appreciated.

The quickness might make some sense but the rest 2 points of your post can be summarized like this – “Give all classes the same abilities and remove anything that seperates one class from another. Make all classes BORING because that it totally what this game needs.”
“Remove stealth from a class that relies on it for survival due to lack of armor and health.” – A thief in downed state gains stealth for a very short period of time. Not that hard to follow. As for stealth stomp, well stealth is a core mechanic of that class and unless you remove it, there aren’t that many ways to deal with it. If you do look around this forum, there are many threads that try to deal with the stealth issue. No point saying the same thing over and over.
“Remove downed state clones/illusions from a class that is completely based around that concept.” – It buys around 2 seconds tops and anyone stupid enough to stomp the clone has simply not played enough spvp or does not know anything about the class he is playing against. Moreover as the above poster mentioned, the cast time almost makes it completely predictable. Start stomping, press escape when mesmer uses #2, wait for him to show up and then proceed stomping.
“Remove a unique and a pretty easy to follow ability(mistform) from eles.” – For god’s sake, you can see exactly where the ele is going in mistform. How is that hard to follow?
All the above “OP” abilities are almost expected when you stomp them. Just plan for them and you’ll be fine.

My favourite character in the game. The voice actress did a splendid job and so did whoever made the character and wrote the lines.
Mesmer! I also enjoy playing my Engi. Tried to like Warrior and Guardian but find them too brain dead/easy mode.
Just ran into this bug today. Seriously, why can’t anet just block the content? It has been an entire week since the first complaints came out.

So the only solution other than the focus one is to get runes of the centaur. But is it not for levels 65+? This kinda affects those who are still leveling their mesmers or interested in doing so as other classes are able to finish zones more quickly simply by moving a lot faster. Moreover, would not equiping 6 of these runes make us enable to equip other runes which might better fit whatever build we are using?
I had the same problem. I solved it by binding the utility skills to Shift+q, Shift+w and Shift+e. I also bound the heal skill to Shift+r. If Shift does not strike your fancy, you could try Control instead.
It takes a little practice but stick with it and you will get used to it in like a level or two. Hope it helps.
