I don’t think you understand what the argument is for. Of course there are consequences to my actions. I transferred servers and now I am 1400 gems short, but to be blocked out of all WvW? Give me an example of a game where you are restricted from content due to server transfer.

The problem is that the consequence for server transfer is now content restriction. Content restriction should never be a consequence for justified player actions. Let’s hope this does not become the norm in other games.

Well then they need to change the system instead of adding restrictions. The things you mentioned are still relevant if the guilds/servers/players buy new accounts and pick the servers they are matched up against.

It is not mandatory. There is no bar to play if YOU CHOOSE to play ignorantly.

Sometimes, playing without any knowledge of new content patches is the most rewarding. Not everyone has the time or wants to read about the new updates from the website.

There is a difference between content patches and content restrictions. What ArenaNet did was add an unjustified restriction to WvW, 2 years after the game’s release.

The only choice I made was to transfer servers. So why are people saying that it’s justified for the players to be restricted from all of WvW because they payed for server transfers?

Reading the news/forum section of the website should not be mandatory. This is not a beta game where the player is responsible for learning about new restrictions to the gameplay. I don’t know any other game that closes off content for players who pay for server transfers. And it’s not just any content, all of WvW is closed off.

Also what about the players trying to get map completion? Locking them out of WvW because of a server transfer is unnecessary.

They should at least open up Obsidian Sanctum or make the arena inside a separate place. I transferred servers to duel some friends in OS and now I can’t even do that anymore. I just got back a few days ago from a long break and never heard of this update where you get locked out of WvW. I’m sure I am not the only one that doesn’t read patch notes. Why wasn’t there at least a warning message when I clicked on transfer in the character selection screen?

I use to run Thrill of the Crime, but one of my friends convinced me to go Uncathable. Since I run all conditions and no crit, Fury is useless for me. I gain Swiftness every time I dodge so that boon is also unnecessary. And 10 seconds of Might isn’t as good as dropping Caltrops every time I dodge. Those Caltrops can do up to 3 stacks of bleeding and it cripples. However, if you are running with a few friends Thrill of the Crime will be a better choice.

It was awesome, regardless of how bad the others were. Well played. I am curious why you use rune of the necromancy and grenth over additional krait and afflicted? You’re missing out on 54 condition damage. I also don’t understand why you have only stacked 40% bleed duration (30% bleed, 10% condition). Unless you have 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% to coincide with 1, 2, 3, 4 sec additional bleeding, respectively, you’re wasting stats. May I suggest 2 mad kings (10% condition duration), which will put you at 50% for bleeds, and an additional 10% for your poisons. 2 Centaurs (15% bleed duration) would put you over 50% (55%) for bleeds, but won’t help the poisons and wastes 5%.
I agree Dee Jay- that is the most frustrating part about this build. Down state in general is only good for bad players in my opinion.

hey thanks for watching. The stats for all my gear is power, vitality and condition damage. For my armor I use 2 runes of the krait, 2 runes of the afflicted, 1 rune of the necromancy and 1 rune of the grenth. On my pistol I use sigil of the Agony and on my dagger I use sigil of the corruption. The armor is from karma merchants at Ruins of Orr, but the gloves are from the Arah Dungeon vendor.
