Guild Wars 2

GvG is the first big thing that is missing, once that is in then you can call it guild wars.. other was what “guild wars” are going on? Alliances existed in gw1 why not in gw2??? I understand the fees for traveling etc. its a gold sink otherwise you could just constantly accumulate gold.. they did just nerf the orchi nodes so fast travel might be less common. I still find i comical that they nerfed “farming” so now you cant constantly farm the events in cursed shore. This is just another thing to add to the ridiculousness of the game.. You want me to grind out 250+ t6 crafting mats but u want me to do it slowly.. its just dumb ( i can only assume this is a nerf to achieving a legendary) which is ridiculous and should be a whole new post.. but ill give is a shot since this is a reply.. 1000s of gold plus mats if a bit ridiculous for a skin imo.. that might be the actual reason that gw2 sucks right now.. the majority of players dont give a kitten what they look like they just wanna kill kitten.. I’ve never watched a single cutscene in the game. I have no desire to grind my kitten off to get a fancy looking weapon. Maybe im totally crazy and have a demented sense of enjoyment but this is how i feel.

Once again please do not reply to this post if you are happy with the state of the game and just want to tell me about exploration or some silly jumping puzzle nonsense. I want this to be a constructive post about the missing elements from the game

I enjoy playing gw2 but i’ve found that there is no motive to keep playing. I’ve made posts like this before but they soon got locked. Please don’t flame or state the obvious bs about exploration or whatever. I played gw1 for a couple years and never had a lack of things to do. I know that the mechanics were basically the same but there was some factor that had me interested. The GvG and HA battles were one of the funnest things I did, despite the fact that I wasn’t all that great at them. I did have some experience in high level GvG. It was exhilarating: I remember playing entire GvG matches that lasted about 20 minutes and I held my breath throughout the entire match. The excitement from GvG was intense. There was few other experiences that I could compare it to at the time. HA was equally as exciting although my HA experience was even less successful. I very much enjoyed these to aspects of gw1 but during the time between GvG/HA I still found excitement in pve. I played Warhammer Online after GW1 and very much enjoyed the open world pvp and keep siege in the pvp lakes. The setup there was progressive where if you captured a certain amount of points then you could progress the zone and eventually siege the opposing force’s main city. The city siege was a bit lacking but at least there was purpose the pvp.

I am making this post to voice my opinion of the game at this point. I really enjoy the game play but I just want there to be a purpose/motive for what I am doing in the endgame. Please do not reply to this post if you are happy with the state of the game. I know that i can explore every zone and farm mats to craft legendaries. If you are having a similar experience please share your opinion and hopefully Anet will listen.

Don’t know what else to suggest really, purchase some other games or something and play them. This game is very lacking when it comes to fun once level 80 has been reached.

So, I was excited as anyone about playing guild wars 2 but I’ve gotten to level 80 with 2 characters and I am seriously let down. I dont give a kitten about skins!!! If i can craft max level gear for pretty cheap then I have completed the game. The fact that legendary weapons are not a stat increase even furthers that argument. Grinding dungeons over and over that are not fun and not rewarding for a skin to the gear I already have is not appealing. WvW is the only other alternative but that is not as much fun as I had when I played Warhammer Online. Also, the que times and how they work are quite unpleasant as I spend about 2-4 hours in que for WvW upon login any given night. Map exploration would be something I could do but I rarely find a zone that doesn’t have at least 1 or more skill points or whatever bugged. I really really want to like this game but I’m running out of fun things to do and even the thought of leveling more alts is unappealing since I know the rewards are not worth playing for. I intend to start spvp next week just to keep interest in the game. This is not a GW2 bash or MOP advertisement. I have no intentions of playing another game right now (except maybe Storm Legion) but just an attempt at letting Arenanet know that I, and probably others, are not having fun. Please!! Give us something to do.

Conditions may be great for spvp and ok for pve but its just not viable in wvw; or should I say zvz. In a large group setting like that AoE wins. The conditions just dont have the time to tick before something else blows them up. This well spec is the closest thing I’ve gotten to feeling useful, but the damage is lacking. Even heavily spec’d into crit and power my wells rarely, if ever, pulse for more than 1k. For a skill that is on a 45s to 1m cd that is unacceptable. When I picked up that greatsword I swung around a few hits and was smashing people for 5k+ while raining down on them with a firestorm.

So, I just found out that the Elementalist skill that summons a Fiery Greatsword does double the damage I do on my own… Am I a total scrub or is Necro dps seriously lacking? My current setup . I have Full exotic Berzerkers with Superior Divinity runes.
