So, a lot of people say that the Engineer only has one Elite skill (Supply Drop). Now, I understand the obvious shortcomings of Mortar. However, in my testing, Elixir X has been a very useful skill in sPvP. Both Brute and Tornado are able to send enemies flying all over creation. Both have stability, ensuring they can’t just be cc’d and ignored. So, for point offense, why not take X?
If the engineer had a hammer, perhaps the most viable melee build would be hammer+toolkit for more melee options
match or beat a guardian for point control
Mind posting a build that can do that? It’s not that I don’t believe you, but I’ve had a lot of trouble with guardians in particular.
You should sit in grenade kit and blow up mobs in 2-3 hits all day. That’s the point.
I’d like to see the rifle get a better skillset and the engi get a viable melee kit or be able to use the hammer. I think I’d rather see the hammer, since other support/caster classes get melee weapons.
Elixir X has two cast times: a “chug time” and a “mutation time”. You can move while chugging, but must remain stationary during mutation. You can be interrupted during either of the cast times. Use Elixir S before using Elixir X and you won’t get interrupted unless you decide to cancel during the mutation.
