You are right on bro, but you are talking to a bunch of progression junkies who seek out rewards like dogs so don’t expect a ton of support in this forum.
figured. considering every new zone I went to I was doing the same exact thing over and over on repeat. I enjoyed GW1 but that was like 8 years ago… i hate to say it but with no progression, MMORPGs are a complete waste of time and it’s part of the reason why I can’t bring myself to level past 25 on my Warrior unless i knew that all my ridiculously hard work to 80 was worth something other then what I’ve already been doing a million times already
Well, I hate to say it but even WITH progression MMORPGs are a complete waste of time. MMORPGS should be just that, role-playing games with a LOT of players playing with you. GW2 gets the exploration and fantasy part of the equation, and I’ve played through the story minus 5 dungeons, and now I’m good.
Hanging on to a game just to grind out gear and stats is a bore and a chore. You want good PVP? Play TF2 or battlefield or any of a number of RTS games. Good RPG? There’s a bunch of those in single player variety. Some people just want to run on the hamster wheel and be fed rewards like a dog, and I don’t understand that.
Venting here, but this is the dumbest, most frustrating, artificially prolonged fight ever. If this is the best your creative team came up with as the penultimate battle of the game, you need better talent.
The whole fight hinges on waiting for invuln to run off, then attack for a bit, then run way the kitten over to where he teleports without being able to damage him, then run back to center, wait for invuln to run off, etc. etc. for 30 minutes. Then you have to deal with running up steps and trying to dodge at the same time. Want to jump and dodge at the same time? Nope, cant do it. Then you’ll get knocked down over and over if you miss a jump or dodge.
There was absolutely no threat to my safety— just a matter of chasing down a mostly invulnerable mob. Its absurd, and comes at a time where I just want to finish the story and move on to a new game. Games are supposed to be FUN. A 20 minute boss fight just for the sake of making a long boss fight is not fun when its artificially drawn out like this.
Not max level yet so I dunno, but isn’t GW2 about PVP? Like you kill other playesr ala Counter Strike except with magical weapons and kitten. You never hear ppl say “I’m so bored of CS there is nothing to do”
You beat the game? You win! Next! I don’t even know what DR is or t3 cultural armor, and I play almost every day since launch. Still lvl 71 or so. Not even close to 100% map completion but I’m not going for that. Games don’t last forever when you play em 12 hours every day.
What is wrong with you? Its a game, if its not fun, don’t do it.
