That’s it. I do have it set to small.
Thanks for the help.
Hello all,
I recently came back to the game after a few months of not playing. One of the very first things I noticed was the text on the Trading Co UI. It is basically unreadable. I don’t know if it is the font or what, but letters are just a blocky, unreadable mess.
Is there a fix for this that I’m just unaware of?
Hello all,
I’ve really only ever played a Warrior and I have a friend who is trying out GW2. He has tried a Ranger, which is the default class he normally goes with but didn’t enjoy it. Mainly he didn’t like the fact that every single ability, outside of the auto attack, had a cooldown on it. Admittedly he only played with the Longbow for about 15 levels, so things may change.
I’m here looking for suggestions for him though. Which class/weapons are less cooldown-based and based more on a resource/mana management type system?
Thanks!

I’d like to see a security system similar to EVE. Where you have High-Sec, Low-Sec and No-Sec zones with open PvP in all zones (with different levels of NPC enforcement). But that’s why I play EVE. :P
In GW2, there’s very little worry about “ganking lowbies” since it downranks you. Ya, you have an advantage with gear and skills that are unlocked at higher levels. But no so much that you’ll outright stomp every single other character you come across. But even with that advantage, making lower level areas a “high-sec” area, would combat this issue even more.
Looting actual items from a player is a no-go. I know that if I had a nice item that took a lot of time to earn and someone looted it from me in a fight, I’d probably just quit the game. Getting SOME loot from a killed player (that doesn’t come out of their inventory) is OK though.
A “block all guild invites” check box would be nice.
But if someone is spamming you with invites, I think you can just report the person right? Also what Caedmon said is correct. Don’t “Ignore” hit the “Decline” button.
The Overflow Indicator is intrusive. Why does it need to pop up and dim my screen, interfering with whatever I’m doing? Why not have a small indicator right above the minimap that says “You are on the overflow server for this area” or something along those lines?
Then, when I have the opportunity to leave, the same message can swap to “You may now leave the overflow server [Yes] [Reenter Queue][Leave Queue]” right above the minimap. You can even have it make a sound and flash to draw attention if you’d like. But as is, it’s very intrusive and annoying to see it ever time I change zones.
…..The first 2 minute I entered the game, I turned of music because it was a 5 sec repeat…
The music in this game is very well done. I’ve never heard anything nearly as short as a 5 second loop of music. =/
I think keeping prices low was intentional. But I don’t think they intended to keep them THAT low. :P
Was going to make my own, but found this one. So I’m bumping it!
I like the look, but you get more than a few people and you can’t even see what’s going on. An alternative to just disabling it could be a slider that controls the intensity and maybe a check box that allows you to emphasize your own. I use a lot of visual queues from my own spells to help me play. So toning down everyone else’s and/or making mine a bit more evident on my screen would be nice.
Understandable. Thanks for the info. Also free bump! :P
Quick question: I’m a returning player and like everything I see here, but I’m looking for a very active guild. How many members do you have online and how many are online concurrently, on average?
Thanks!
