It seems to only be standard practice to release patch notes ahead of time if the game in question also has a public test server (like WoW). Even then, since it’s a test server the actual patch notes are flexible and change before going live. Since there isn’t a public test server for GW2 (yet) they have no reason to release patch notes before the patch goes live, right?

Yeah, you want to make sure you have done all the jumping puzzles in the various areas as well.

I found that you have to jump later than you expect to, but not so late that you fall. It took me a few times, but I finally got it.

I knew that I could make potions as an artificer, but like you, I never saw them appear on my list of available items to craft. So, I just started going through all my stuff I had in the bank and on the collections tab and pulled everything out that listed “Artificer” on it. I started throwing things together in discovery and started finding potion recipes! One thing I recommend, is getting some “Jug of Water” from the Artificer vendor, most potions require them. Just start throwing things together and see what you come up with! You’ll be surprised what materials go into some of the potions. It was fun to figure them out!
