I too wanted a legendary but gave up even before the massive mystic forge nerf. I cannot believe the price of dusk now as I stopped trying for it when it was only 90 gold. Really what is the point? When you finally get it what are you going to do with it? Stand around in Lion’s Arch so people can gawk at you? Go do WvW and battle people that have near identical stat weapons? Its just a neat looking skin. Back in the infancy days of another popular mmo – if you had a legendary weapon you absolutely decimated in pvp and large groups of players would run from you just because of that weapon. You simply do not have that type of power with a GW2 legendary. It just the journey to get it that is legendary.
To be honest.. with how many things need attention in the game at this time I don’t think bots should even be looked at. The don’t affect me even the slightest and I would much rather see game improvements.
My biggest complaint about wvw is that it feels like theres no real reward or reason to do it. I thought there should be a monthly leader board for each world and the top three (for example) damage dealers, kill count, healing done, nodes captured, ect would earn a unique title depending on their rank in that section. So the top three damage dealers for a month would all three have unique titles with number one being the most ominous. Whether or not the titles are only for the following month or permanent.. well I don’t really care and isn’t my place to decide. Maybe put statues of the current monthly leaders in Lion’s Arch or something.
I am talking content. Are we getting some content patches or is this what we get until the first xpac? What kind of ideas for future content (from what they would like to do to what they plan to do)? Do they realize there isn’t anything to bring a sense of character progression after 80 and if so what do they plan to do about it?
Believe me I am not a GW hater – I really want it to succeed but am already finding myself logging in less and less and it is getting me a bit worried. There is already a noticeable emptiness to many areas on my high (previously full) server and I have to skip DEs on my lower alts because there is nobody around.
After 3 months of not a single news update or any communication with players people gave up and left Warhammer and it never recovered. We need frequent updates (I want to know whats going on every time a new build is available and my client downloads something) and we need an at least rough update on your current priorities and long term goals. I can deal with the strangely large number of bugs in game even after a month.. but feeling like we aren’t being heard is a problem.
