Lag isn’t always a game issue. Could be system or ISP on your end as well…might be a combo of all 3.
While I agree you cant blame Anet for 100% of the issues BUT you can be certain
1. they were obviously not ready as many people are complaining not just the odd 10 people but hundredS.
2. omg the lag, for anybody to gloss this over and say hey this is just the players with bad systems would be wrong, wrong oh and did i say WRONG
3. the event itself was just badly planned, badly coded a mess.
4. servers was obviously not able to cope with the issues above (ring of fire especially)
I can not even log into my main character at lions arch in fear of miyami spamming me to death with the same email an obvious quality control issue, not loading at all when my other characters outside of LA can, event timings are tight and everyone rushing to get into it = tough for people who work over the weekend including me…
That is exactly how holiday items should be-silly fluff no one is going to be using come Christmas time; that’re more about the fact you were there for the events. It shouldn’t be about crazy grinds for crafting, playing the TP for what you want at a reasonable price, etc. Should be easy and fun and honestly, kinda worthless.
Mementos are important to people who play guild wars 2, we showed up for the event and got a 10 slot bag to show for it…..sorry but that was hardly worth the wait and certainly was not worth the time.
In most cases the cut-scene was horribly bugged on some peoples screens all they could see was the statue blowing up and a green fog above it with the camera shifting about. once you get in you get “Mad king says:” similar to Simon says! Which doesn’t work btw Even if you do as he says nothing changes and after you have killed off the random skeletons and spiders you get to kill the mad king of thorn…that’s it
act 1-2 were better then act 3 loot wise i have received nothing from this event to even call noteworthy or to even show there was a event to begin with….
WTH i didnt know how you came to this conclusion “1-3 exotics” all ive been getting are greens and nothing more then trash loot to me. i have done the candy champion 15 times and not received any exotics within 15 chests i got more greens and some blues and on 1 rare occasion a rare. And yesterday 19:00gmt i have done over 22 mad king dungeon runs and again same kind of loot table no exotics(although some have gotten some nice items) i must have the worst luck on gw2 the loot tables are just broken even off subject i farmed the earth elementals in cursed shore for a few hours and never got 1 lodestone but the day before i got 2. During this event i have not got 1 exotic FACT
SORRY my apologies the op commented about getting 3-5 exotics per mad king dungeon chest, this is just not true!
This is not a rant so please dont label me as some angry gamer whos had a bad day…it just isnt the case.
Joined my friends after the servers/server had crashed (ring of fire server in my case) noticed that while my friends are able to play the dungeon i could not everything seemed like server was crashing all my hot keys were actively flashing and trying to kill anything? forget it. i couldnt even get the chest at the end after 15 mins of battling it out trying to get the game to work.
below is my fibreoptic speed ping is 15 ms so you can guess why im confused
1. i am lagging all over the place inside that dungeon
2. completed it already first time before server crashed duo’d
3. friends seemed fine watching me run around like a headless chicken
4. couldnt claim chest game kept freezing up in there.
5. as seen below my broadband is fine!
I made a recent purchase of 1600 gems (£17.00gbp) i spent 600 gems on a primeval armor skin (for heavy armor) And didn’t receive the armor skin at all, Usually i would receive it through in game mail like usual right? anyways i went to check the black lion trader and still no items received.
The gem store window says that it was purchased (you know right side of window in recent purchases) It says i made the purchase, so its obviously you game not working as intended!
Please fix and give me the item i purchased using “real money” Or i might be tempted to think about bringing my purchases elsewhere.
