I don’t think so actually, it has nothing to do with how much you play and grind for gold in order to play with your friends or your guild.
I actually need about 35-40 gold just to transfer.
If this is done to keep the worlds balanced, fine, go ahead. I support the gem system and that it would need to take you some time to transfer but 1800 is unrealistic.
1000 I would have agreed to.
To tell you the truth I would have done it that way that the world that is higher in WvW would cost more, not the one with most population.

It cost me about 500-600 to transfer to Piken Square from a NA server…
So from Piken to Gandara it costs 1800? Seriously?!

Just the beginning is quite annoying. The damage is far from great and so is survivability.
but I guess that by the end of this week I’ll get it to 80

running GS + Sword/Focus
will switch to staff later on though when condition damage will be more powerful.

After trying many builds, including Strife’s Axe/Mace/Axe build (which felt VERY glassy if not in an organized group, still loved it), I think I found the one I like the most.

Using Axe/Shield + Axe in offhand (that way the autoattack doesn’t get interrupt, you can get more fury with skill 4 (boon=more damage) and the best axe skill 5), switching to Longbow when in need.
Now I know if this is using Empower, best to use more in Arms with the boons and bonuses it gives, but this isn’t the main issue here. This is a bonus to this build.

Built it like that to have Shield skill 5 be used more often and gain MUCH more from it.
Giving you reflect missiles + might (+vulnurability for 3 seconds), and with Empower trait giving you even more damage.
Utils:
FGJ – Of course you’ll be using that for more crits for you and your party, + boons = even more damage
now the second utility I like to change accordinly because this is not a shout/banner/support build. I would mostly use Endure Pain, changing sometimes with Shake It Off/Frenzy/Balanced Stance
Third is Banner of Discipline which boosts your crit damage and chance by ALOT.
Same as the elite here.

Using 4x Beserker + 2x Knights, I’m not sure about my gear yet though. Might go full Knights with Ruby Orbs in them, or Berserker with Soldier runes in them. Not sure yet and would like suggestions on it!

Hey guys,
I’ve had a Warrior and a Guardian for Fracts/Dungeons and loving it, but I see now how crucial a mesmer is in a group, decided to roll one just to have it when it’s needed.

I just started one and I LOVE it. But before I choose my Dungeon/Fract build, I would like to know what you guys run for PVE low levels just to get through the first 20-30 levels (after that it’s a piece of cake…)

I’m not sure if i’m doing this right, I’m having a hard time in pve with ughhhhhhhhhhhhh any melee weapon. I just don’t understand what’s supposed to happen.. when I get to my enemy, do I do anything other than just stand around and auto attack for max dps?

What weapon are you using,
why aren’t you using skills?
What level are you?

I run an Axe/Shield warrior, but my build is a bit different to yours, mainly because I think a lot of the traits in the arms tree aren’t really that great, and if you spec away from the defense tree, you can gain a lot more DPS/utility. I think Furious Reaction, Rending Strikes and Last Chance can all be replaced with things much better, without losing too much.

Axe/Shield with Warhorn offhand, swapping to rifle situationally (E.g before bosses were you expect to need range). With Healing Surge + Shake It Off / FGJ / OMM + Rage Signet

It’s based around building up your adrenaline bars, then leaving them full with the %dmg boost and the crit chance boost, which fits in nicely with the axe traits. Brings support through the Warhorn cleansing conditions and the swiftness/vigor buffs, alongside healing shouts.

I’m currently wearing mostly all knight’s gear with berserker accessories and weapons and I find it strikes a really good balance between DPS (through the axe auto-attack and full adrenaline bonuses) and defence (through healing shouts and shield block/interrupt) while still bringing support to the group (through warhorn and shouts).

Anyway, didn’t mean to hijack your thread – just thought you might be interested in an alternative axe/shield build!

I actualy like your build! Tried it yesterday and didn’t even drop once in fractals (even if I’ve just gotten to 80 and still no full exotic armor set… but do have the corrupted skeggox+bulwark XD )
Was actually pretty useful. Changed it abit though from the warhorns cos I dont likeém that much.
I would like to get more and more builds for dungeons for axe/shield+ axe/(axe/mace/rifle)!
