ISP is on a 1gbps broadband plan using wired. With 60mbps using speednet. Youtube videos, playing other games like Dota, counterstrike, ESO has no issues. The problem is only on GW2 where I can move around the map but can’t use any skills.
Also, some users reported that TeliaSonera’s Dallas node is having issues.
Please stop saying to upgrade ISPs.
I have friends/guildies from Singapore and Philippines, they are all suffering from 3 minutes of skill lag. No, it is not an exaggeration, I also suffer from that lag. It is not from our end, it is not our connection speeds, it is not our routers or firewalls. There are also multiple reports that people from Thailand, Malaysia are also suffering from this.
Why is this not being acknowledged? Patch did not fix it. We are experiencing this for the past week now. We can’t do world boss, or even our personal story with single player instances.
Yes, i would assume SEA is suffering from massive latency spikes…
I myself is from SG and i am having around 400 to 800 ping with spike from 2k to disconnect.
Yes, it is really baffling that this problem that is so widespread, is not being acknowledged. I don’t mind waiting for a fix, but I don’t want to be waiting in the dark if it is going to be fixed.
Nothing changed ingame three days ago. Updates are done on Tuesdays. That would seem to indicate that the problem is on your end.
Firewall and blocking aren’t the only things you need to look for. It’s also necessary to see what you’re bandwidth usage is at your modem. A few months ago I was suddenly getting ridiculous lag and we couldn’t figure out why. I got a program for monitoring in and out bandwidth on the routers WAN port and realized something was using all the upload bandwidth. It turned out that a backup program was not working correctly and was constantly uploading a file that didn’t actually exist, using all the bandwidth and disabling anything else from uploading anything.
Connection is not caused by what is changed ingame like you said. Also, I am not the only one experiencing this. I have friends with different ISPs, using wireless and wired. Also, there was a reddit post that is very similar to what I am experiencing.

Can anyone help address or just acknowledge this issue? It only happened to me 3 days ago and did not improved in any way.
Personal stories are unplayable with 5 seconds lag. FPS is still stable. In open world, I can still see normal people running their normal things, but for me, I can’t do anything else.
There are no firewalls or any blocking configurations. ISP is providing a decent connection with 40mbps.
Also, there is a reddit post that states the same issue that I am having, in the same area as I am, but with different (better connection speed) ISPs.
Can someone please help?
