skill? i havent seen any skill yet. on the forums i read people want even grounds so there skill will show who wins and who loses. . where is the skill in a zerg? even the smaller pvp events are all big group based stick together and hit whatever is close. if sticking together and rolling people is what people call skill then this is a perfect game for em.

totally understand.. just thought it would have been better then what i got to see. i had my fill of pvp for this game in one evening. not gonna bash it. just not for me. fun pve game tho for no sub.

just tried out wvw and the map is huge. only have one spawn point to rez at and thats the beginning. seems everything is a zerg. is this all the pvp gw2 has to offer? im sure its better in a guild. lord it has to be. even the smaller pvp in the mists seems like a big ol zerg fest with no skill involved.
i must be missing something. im sure its better then what i got to see tonight

Why should we wait?

The “they want better gear” statement is getting old. Nobody said that I’ve read that they want better gear. “stat wise anyways”.. The good players just want recognized for there accomplishments. What’s wrong with that?

We got the memo. Can still post our thoughts. There not going to change anything so don’t worry. They got our money and that is all they want. You can have your wvw cuz it’s fun and that’s it. I’ll play till something better comes along. Alot of us need something more than just playing for “fun”. your money is no better then ours. Now that I’m crying, let the flames begin

Would be nice to know how good the person is you just beat/ got beaten by. Titles/ rewards/ gear what ever could show.
Lame going into a battle and everyone looks the same. From what I gather tho there is different gear

Qued uplast night and went on my way leveling/explorIng. Never got in. As a matter of fact, i only got to Play wvwvw once. Is there a trick to get in?

Duels would be nice. Like a poster said tho put in an option to deny duels. Sometimes I’m not in the mood

Wonderful!! I was worried. The way the forums have been lately, I was starting to think yOu hit 80 and that’s it.
I’m defiantly a person that needs something to work towards or I’ll just stop playing.
Are there titles in this game too or just skins

Ok in pvp I have only played a tiny bit. Seems we all get the same gear except in wvw right? That’s fine with me but you can change your gear right? Same stats but a different look? I guess what I want to know is how can you tell the difference between a total noob like me and a very skilled player? If there is no way to tell that would make me sad. Seems there would be no reason to get good. Nobody would know.
Guess the same gos for pve as well

Hmmmm I tried right clicking my party member and there was no option saying “join” anything. Must be a bug?
But it is cool you can play with friends on different servers tho

I could be wrong but I don’t think you can play with people from other “servers”.
BUT I have the problem of not being able to group with my friends even tho we are on the same server but get stuck in different overflows or what ever. Is that what your talking about?
It’s a real pain and makes grouping more work then it’s worth

I think the game had so much potential and I was really looking forward to play it, hoping not to have to play Pandas.

Looks like I do have to go play Pandas after all though, the character development or better said the total lack of it is totally disappointing. After the first few levels you got all your skills and that is it. Playing Ranger for example I spend 90% of my time just auto attacking.

It is totally lacking the motivation to reach a certain level to get a new kickkitten ability. I really do hope that the developers will change something there but as it is right now, it is just boring. I know several people that did not even bother to play past 20 because they got so bored of their characters, personally I want to reach 80 at least but I kinda do have to force myself to play.

i dont think they are going to change much at all. this is how they want it and thats fine i guess. im having fun. but will be buying a new mmo when something else comes along. really wish i didnt have to buy any more wow expansions tho :-/
it does suck that you pretty much learn everything at low levels. on the other hand you can concentrate on getting better with what you have. BUT this keeps me from wanting to play other toons too. im going to stick with 1 and play the game through all the levels or until i get bored. then move one to kung foo pandas lol. i think i threw up in my mouth just typing that last sentence.

Just wondering, sometimes it’s a real pain when there’s a bunch of people doing an event and I’m trying to figure out if I should dodge or not. I’m at work so I can’t check myself :-/

im only lvl 14 so im wondering how your guys spent your points. from what i have read you really cant go wrong putting them anywhere. atm im using a GS but thinking of switching over to shield for more survivability. so many choices!
i might add this build will be for solo adventuring and completing maps.

I’m not bashing the game. Not what my post is about. Was just questioning people why they play. I like the game so far

I made the topic to see why people are playing. This type of game is new to me (not like wow or other mmo’s I’ve played where gear is everything) not sure why your hating because I asked questions. Everyone except you gave informative answers.

No gear to get once 80.
No rewards for pvp or pve
You basically just play, hit 80, then what? Do the same thing you been doing since lvl 1.
I’m gonna play my toon to 80 to get my money’s worth. So far it is fun but I’m worried it’s going to get boring fast. With nothing to shoot for then why bother?
I would play just to mess with the dungeons but I hear they are so hard it isn’t even fun. I’m holding judgment on that since I haven’t been in one myself yet..
I’m not a hard core player by any means so when I get a chance to play I need to make it worth my time. Just seems there’s no goals to be met in this game tho.
Am I wrong?
