There is only build of thieves that gives me a problem and it’s the “perma stealth” or “unicorn” or whatever name that is thrown at that build. It’s always a close fight in spvp and MOA is the elite skill of choose against this thief. I use Decoy and Arcane Thievery…a underrated utility. I swap out all his conditions on me to him and take his boons it’s great and I roll with it all the time in spvp.

I use scepter\pistol\staff with staff swapped out with GS from time to time.

This really made me laugh. AC Story is easy compared to Explorable mode. I was told you had to do Story first before Explorable but I hit AC late and did Explorable first at level 36 and finished it after several wipes.

I then decided to do Story since I wanted to experience that run and I was like wow what a difference. I’ve since then done about 8 AC Explorable runs with 5 successful runs against the GhostEaster(easiest final boss)

Big Red Arrow disappears when we cloak. I’ve several times beaten 1v2 scenarios. In sPVP only class I have a problem with is thieves thats it and even that is win some lose some. I pump out so much confusion on enemy player that he kills himselves. Mesmers aren’t the high big damage class we just outlast other people.

Are we OP no….I think it’s cloak and deceive class. And personally the Mesmer down state isn’t OP by far that goes to Thieves with Elementalist on the easy kill while down state

I’ve played Condition build Mesmer currently at lvl 49 (R7 spvp) Staff\Scepter\Torch I find it very good for pve and pvp. Pumping out 9 stacks of Confusion instantly you will the player who tries to burst you drop a good amount of health. It’s good against burst dmg classes especially melee in particular thieves.

Mesmer is one of the better SPvP classes but in WvW we are limited. I usually just use Feedback against range attackers and Timewarp for my zerging allies

Do you use Signet of Domination? I use it as my stun but Confusion has to be one of the better Conditions. I can get up to 9 stacks of Confusion on player and his health drops to almost to nothing when tries to burst on me.

Ive read lot of mesmers running with sword\pistol combo being good burst and the greatsword I wanted to like as it was funny seeing a caster running around with a huge sword but it wasn’t my playstyle.

Well playing up to level 48 Mesmer I can say you will want to try out the different weapons to find what suits you as there are so many builds. I finally settled and currently rolling with Staff/Scepter&Torch as Condition Build Mesmer. I love it for both PVE an PVP.
