Interesting analogy there. Mapping the topic at hand to that analogy, the parents tell the child for every good grade they bring home, they may pick one toy car from the shop. But when at the shop it comes to actually choosing three cars, the parents suddenly say “no, we changed our minds. Instead of the third car, you must pick a puppet.”

Well, I’m making a more accurate mapping than you: the parents never said the child could get one car for each good grade, but rather one car for the first good grade, another car for the second good grade and a puppet for the third good grade. But the child becomes temperamental because he wants three cars for his three good grades.

I think what he’s trying to say and take this a step further is that the parents don’t even have to give the child a reward in the first place. The child should be grateful for what they are given.

I am unsure if I am just now becoming aware of this due to me playing a lot more lately, but I happened to be traversing through a low level area and noticed that it seemed to be much more busy than I am used to.

Apparently there is a large amount of people that use timers to jump between meta events for guaranteed rare/exotics? By a large amount, I mean enough that all the people were not showing.

Is this something new or has this been going on for a while now?

Good I’m not crazy. I’ve seen this a couple times and was wondering if this was a new ‘botting’ technique. Essentially for anyone that doesn’t know and likes to report botting: The bot will ‘appear’ at a node (in my case, always a male character with no clothes), jump once, gather the resource, then disappear. Since they are there for only a split second, it makes it very difficult to report.

Yeah not sure on this one. If it doesn’t cater to your play style, then don’t go for it. If you don’t like the game, don’t play it.

It goes the same for the whole ‘ascended’ argument. I’m not sure why people complain so much now. Guild Wars is not a game that is meant to be finished in a day. They have added TONS of content, and yet people complain about that. If you don’t like ‘the grind’ or supposed ‘gear treadmill’ please find another gaming forum to clutter up with all the negativity.
