I really like the look of the harlequin mask you get as a starting mesmer. Unfortunately I got rid of mine a while ago. Does anyone know of a mask (any level) that has the same appearance?
Mesmers use Feedback – it’s that pink dome that reflects projectiles. If they want to stack up , then that keeps them from shooting out.
Necromancers have a lot of nasty ground targeted AoEs that aren’t ranged attacks so they won’t be reflected/absorbed by the guardians. Similarly, Mesmers have Chaos Storm.
Does stability prevent the knockback from Shield of Absorption? If it does, you could run some Axe/Axe warriors – Balanced Stance+Frenzy+Endure Pain and AoE until everything’s dead. Has the benefit of combo with the Mesmer/Necro fields.
What bothers me the most is that siege should be the counter to a zerg group, but it is not. Siege in an open area? Just swarm it. Siege in a tower/keep? Spam AOE everywhere til it’s all gone.
It’s sort of bugged. The might from “For Great Justice” lasts 25s. If you have a +10% might duration rune, the tooltip will still say 25s, but it will in fact last 27.5s – it works, just the tooltip does not update.
However, if you use a +10% boon duration rune instead, the tooltip does update to 27.5.
I don’t understand what that picture is supposed to show, building something outside? Not relevant to my question about defending inside a tower.
And yes, I know the power of arrow carts. Just show me where I can put one where it’s useful to me (can hit attackers), but won’t be aoe’d down.
Where do you place them then? Because there is no place on the walls that cannot be reached by aoe.
If they can be aoe’d down quickly no matter where on the wall you place them? Makes trying to hold off superior numbers while holed up in a tower impossible.
On Devona’s Rest, I’d absolutely get rid of it. It’s not terribly fun fighting superior numbers constantly while they also have +3 orb buffs.
