I love my Quips. Keep the sound. Nothing is as funny to me as defeating some poor soul with a Flaming Sword of Flaming Flameness and Flaming Flame armor with a pop gun and confetti.

Hello all! I’ve had the idea for a novel rattling around in my head since just after season one of the Living Story. I would like to speak with someone from ArenaNet whom I could bounce my ideas off of to make sure that they are lore-friendly and acceptable to the intellectual property. Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about doing that?

I’ve been trying to keep myself busy while we wait for LS3, so I turned a bunch of my characters into art projects. Using Sylvari (due to their look diversity), I created six characters as tributes to the Elder Dragons!

Primordus
So much flaming armor to choose from… in the end, I opted for a mix of Hellfire, Citadel of Flame, and Bladed for this Berzerker.

Zhaitan
This Druid was inspired by the zombie fungus. The look combines Orrian, Accursed, and Shadow of the Dragon.

Mordremoth
Trying to convince a Mordrem Thrasher to sit still long enough to copy his color template was a challenge. Combining Toxic, Scallywag, and Bladed armors, this Dragonhunter wields the remains of a familiar sword.

Kralkatorrik
This was one of the hardest looks, as most crystal appearance is confined to outfits versus armor pieces. While I ended up going with the standard Mistward armor, I took this Herald into Glint’s Lair to mimic the colors there.

Jormag
This Reaper was the character that inspired the project with her icy appearance. Combining Cultural armor, Winter’s Presence, Glint’s Gaze and the Chaos Gloves, this look was made using Ad Infinitum while in Frostgorge for the color choices.

Steve
Hoo boy, this Tempest had a rough start. Since the only thing we know about the Deep Sea Dragon is that its name starts with S, there was almost nothing to go on. instead, each armor piece was selected based on a flowing water look. This ended up with a mix of Exalted, Feathered, Lich, Winged, and Phoenix armors. The waters of Lion’s Arch provided the color choices. A total makeover kit was used for the facial fish appearance.

My bug fixed itself, I ended up taming a River Drake in WvW and after a map change, it never happened again.

The Elder Dragons are great at bringing people together. Zhaitan reunited Destiny’s Edge, and Mordremoth cleared the Eir between them.

I guess Mordremoth didn’t expect us in Tangled Depths. We caught him with his plants down.

I knew an Inquest member who was a nervous wreck after he died and was cloned. He had to be reasuraed.

Knut Whitebear almost didn’t support the Pact. I guess he was ig-norn the problems outside Hoelbrak.

Logan’s head over heels. I guess he appreciates Jennah-rous curves.

Marjory only tells Kasmeer her secrets. It’s on a Meade-to-know basis.

What’s Eir’s favorite cereal? Raisin Braham.

Centaurs must have the best gear. They’re kitten -ended. (Since it’s censored, it’s related to donkey.)

On every character, my last bag slot is self-closing every time I open my inventory, even when I am accessing my bank.

Hopefully not like our magnet got ‘fixed’. It’s even worse now. I wouldn’t even run it if it weren’t attached to tool kit.

So, I have what I BELIEVE to be a graphics card that is on its way down the tubes (severe framerate loss in spurts, computer hard powers off when in A Light in the Darkness story mission and when fighting underwater, usage of GPU was at 99% the entire time, CPU quad core was at about 50%). Yes, all the drivers were updated, and haven’t had any new updates in months. It’s an ATI Radeon HD 4800 series. So I guess my question is twofold. First, does that sound like a graphics card issue to you, and second, what reasonably-priced graphics card would you recommend for a replacement?

Bipolar I, PTSD, a compressed spine from varsity wrestling, and many old injuries… I don’t get out much anymore, and it kills me a bit.

Since I spent most of my time online, the quality of what I play and the community are very important to me. Anet has delivered on all fronts. I can be social with a great group of friends, have goals that I can work toward, and now I get to look forward to new mechanics and putting even more polish on my engineer skills.

I’m usually happy to buy gems and support the game, get some shinies in the process, but this… the last few updates have been poorly managed, poorly thought out and poorly implemented. I’ll not be purchasing any gems, not getting any items from the store and will likely start spending more time on other MMOs.

I’d love the Condition Duration option on my legendary. I stack it for my build and while I love my legendary, I was disappointed not to see Giver’s among the options.

As a condition duration enthusiast, I find myself a bit disappointed that my Quip does not have the Giver’s stat set. Was this an oversight, or can we not get condition duration on our legendary weapons?

Shelter’s Gate got overrun by one Champion Risen Wraith who had a permanent AoE life drain that drained over 20 people and destroyed all of us… even Weakness wasn’t working on countering it.

Yeah, I was there. He sucked the life out of everything faster than my ex-girlfriend.

In all seriousness, even keeping Weakness on him 100% of the time wasn’t abating the life drain. I had to back off after six seconds.
