If you miss the first hit, you are going to be rooted in place, ready to be burst down.

You dont seem to get the point? Even if you’re rooted, you cannot be bursted since you evade ALL attacks during the ‘channel’ … And even if you miss the first hit, does not automatically let you miss all other hits, which do massive AE cleave dmg. Get your facts straight before lamenting.

I also know that Sword1 Chain of the Ranger should be altered, so you wont stuck in animation, but thats not my point to tell here. I just dont support skillless-nobrainer abilities. Especially i want to see my own skills nerfed (Sword and Shortbow) so i dont see your point of complaint :o

I’m playing a thief myself, but i would love to see all friggin autododge skills (Ranger ones as well) nerfed a lot. At the moment you just evade every ability for like half a second or even more. Instead just give those skills a fixed amount of 1-3 dodges per use (like the Guardian Scepter Block). I mean .. its so extremely strong, you can even dodge kitten while being rooted. Why should stuff like this be spammable. It neither requires ANY skill to spam it, nor is it fair to have them deal pretty decent damage on top of it.

Edit: To point another thing out: Completely remove the Autododge form Pistolwhip.

But thief is suppose to be weak against conditions. Just look at our hp. Our goal is to kill our enemy before he can put enough devastating conditions on us.

i lol’d . tell that a necro spamming wells and marks around, or a mesmer with perma stealth

i would LOVE to see a little lower coldown on our stealth-heal, since that would solve a lot of condition problems… but i already see ppl complaining even more about ‘perma stealth’ lulz. i’d be glad to have its regeneration component removed and in exchange 5-10 seconds lowered cd.
just compare other heals to ours – passive condi removal for guardian (mostly also traited down to 32 sec and it heals like 2times more than hide in the shadows), warrior signet is op as kitten + mending has the same base heal than HiS and lower cd+also 3 condi removals, mesmer has higher basevalue+illusion bonus(and also just 20 sec cds), necro also has lower cd + ALL condis removed, and finally ranger and engi heals arent that bad either.

i just wanted to hear a legit reason why they put so much more effort into a specific kind of weaponset like (obviously) 2handeds than into the small weapons.
and yes, theres this ,which is exactly the same skin.. so actually it’s just 1 new dagger skin at all.. fair? i guess not

It’s really nice to see so many new events and achievements like the new arena. It’s also great to always get new Weaponskins available and i don’t want to actually nag, but REALLY?

Check the two available Daggerskins and then compare them to all the other skins.. Are you serious? Daggers as much of a boring kitten as the ones we already have at the moment. No effects and on top of that they don’t even look decent at all. Why can’t you just make a smaller version of this
or maybe a dagger looking somewhat close to Entropy or Genesis ..

Simply tell me Why do Warrior/Guardians get TWO great looking Hammers and TWO great looking 2h Swords, each with nice effects AND skins, but the new Daggers look as bad as f . . . ?Actually they got 2 Legendary skins available, else like all others! And even the sword-users got their rapier..
Would it be so hard to just give us a full set of all weapons with skins like ‘Lord Taeres’s Shadow’ or a full set of ‘Entropy’ skins?

Each patch i’m waiting in anticipation and get disappointed so hard with those skins.

I just hope there will be some earnest reconsideration about skin-equality between the weapons in the near future…

just read the first page so maybe someone already said it, but ima throwing in my 2 cents:

how about letting retal deal something like 20%~5%(maybe up to 10%) dmg depending on the hit you get.
like i hit someone with 200dmg and get 40 dmg back, but when i hit him with 5k i get 250-500 dmg back.

Would somewhat solve the problems with Skills like Unload or the rangers arrow hail, but it also keeps its use against slow/hard hitters.

Personally i would like to see dodge on skills removed anyways, since it is complete bullkittycat..

But: Skills with autododge like Ranger with Dagger or Shortbow Thief , can still dodge attacks while being rooted. Either you make those skills unusable while being immobilized, or you remove the dodging component of them while being rooted, but you just can’t let this crap stay as it is.

generally i just want to have something done about conditions at all. i would also be content if they would introduce some kind of resistance to conditions. for example tenacity – the counterpart to toughness. you can increase the duration of conditions, but at the moment there no possibility to reduce them. and not every class is blessed with condition removers like traited shouts from guardian or something else

I know this is a pretty delicate theme, but it disturbs me for some long time now…

Most of the current conditions are actually accessible to all classes and imo this should be changed. I’ll put it short and just give a small summary on how conditions should be spread amongst the classes.

Bleeding: Necro, Ranger, Thief
Burning: Ele, Engi, Guardian
Confusion: Mesmer, Engi
Chill: Necro, Ele
Cripple: Thief, Warrior, Ranger
Weakness: Necro, Mesmer
Poison: Necro, Thief, Ranger
Blind: Guardian, Engi , Ele
Vulnerability: Warrior, Mesmer
Fear: Necro only
Torment: Necro, Mesmer
Root: Ranger, Warrior,Engi

Don’t badmouth me now for such a thought and i know this isnt a balanced suggestion at all, just a vague overview how it actually could look like.

Fast-Cast Ground Targeting Option

At the moment you have absolutely NO indication if your mouse is in range of a skill or not (The red line beneath the skill is never shown!). Only feedback you get is a freakin ‘Out of range.’ , which already led to my death a few times, since i just couldnt blink away. So my wish for a better reaction-time through disabling a second click for groundtarget gets me punished by not being able to cast my spells at all..

So basically what i am asking for is: You use any skill with a ground target automatically on max range and in direction of your cursor, if your mouse is out of range. As far as i’m using the skills in a small radius around my character it works just fine, but PLEASE do something about the ‘out of range’ thing with this option.

Hope i am not the only one with this kind of problem :o

Bulls charge started right next to a target will do the charging animation as if traveling to the target although you are already next to it. The resulting hit comes after the charge channel which is a max of like 1.5 seconds I think. Whatever the amount of time it takes to cover the range of the skill.

that’s what i mentioned about eviscerate and shild bash. it is giving those skills just an unnecessary ~1sec extra casttime…

Could you explain this one a bit more please? Particularly confused by the signet effect bit.

I meant the weapon sigils in general. The ones that apply any Procc on you after you switched to that weapon while in-fight. As i said like the Leeching for example. Also Intelligence and every other sigil, that applies a procc (or call it buff to you).

About the Throwing Axe: its mainly on a little greater distance, but maybe that a feature yes. But i still think that generally there’s something wrong with Eviscerate or better with leaping skills. I also read something about Savage Leap (and another jumping skill?), so the thought about movement skills in particular being bugged isn’t far-fetched at all.

(And i excuse myself in the first place for being hard to understand or writing a little messy sometimes . I’m not always sure if i always pick the right words/grammar since english isn’t my native language :p )

Eviscerate damage or rather dodge rolling it seems to be glitched. Even if you fully swinged around (jumped and completed your swing animation) one can still dodge the damage.

Not sure if every projectile has this problem, but for Throw Axe you simply miss the targets if they turn 180° and go one step back.

(maybe not a bug at all but:)
Signets passive effects do not fade while casting them, but if you interrupt the cast and they go on their 5 sec cd you do not receive the passive effect.

Weaponswitch or other on-hit proccs (like leeching or poison etc) fade away if you use Warhorn5 (Call to Arms) and the enemy gets his weakness applied. The Signet effect though does NOT get applied to the enemy.

Signet of Stamina does not stack with vigor.

[Just tested Shield Bash on the golem and saw something which maybe causes also the problem for eviscerate. It seems that Leaping movement skills have an extraordinarily strange casttime. even if you are standing in front of your target the casttime does not match the spell info which says 1/2 sec. after the full duration of dashing and pommeling (i am directly in front of my target though) there is another 1/2 second setback. ( some maybe say that would be a lag issue, but im not expierencing ANY delays in my -for example- stance utilities)]
