As the title says: How much longer are we going to have to wait for the box to be opened up again?
I understand “upgrading” or “fixing” stuff takes time. But surely Arenanet has some test server(s) where they can build and test new content. There’s simply no reason to put the current content offline unless the new content is ready to be implemented into the live servers.
As a programmer myself I do know that even when content is ready, it still takes some time to implement. Especially when you come across new bugs after the implementation. But there’s really no excuse why that should be more than a month.
So I’m sorry if this comes across as ranting. I just think there’s a time for a player to wait patiently and there’s a time when a developer and / or manager has to come forward and give more details about the long waiting times. I think that time is now come. So I do hope this will lead to some more solid information from Arenanet.
