It’s just one of those things that happens. I normally never get exotics from Dungeons or World Bosses but over the last week I have probably gotten 7 exotics at least. A couple of week’s ago I had gotten an average of 1 ecto per 4 rare’s salvaged and now I’m getting 1-3 consistently. It’s not really a bug just a string of bad RNG luck.

The wardrobe system wasn’t meant to get rid of transmutation. If they simply allowed you to lock in a certain skin there would be no reason for anyone to buy transmutation stones. Simply from world completion I have about 70 which is more then enough to use the skins I want even after changing armor. They won’t completely murder the demand for transmutation stones, and they shouldn’t. Guild Wars has always been getting the stat’s you want easily but the look you want hard and this would completely ruin that concept.

Templates would make things a lot easier, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were already planning to implement this in the future. However it’s something that probably won’t come out for a while, they still have a lot of fixes to work on for the latest feature pack and I would prefer it if they would work on some more living story before adding in more things like this.

Cornel, well I can already tell how bad you are with economics. The price will raise, maybe not quickly, but if you sell them in the fall or winter I am sure you can get a good price for them. You see, a lot of people are running around with wings now and so a lot of other people are like “meh, everyone has em”. Down the road when most have switches back slot effects, wings won’t be so prominent and more people will attempt to aquire them for a unique look. Also new armor skins may be released that make the wings look better.

Btw, I’ve had 2 wings drop, none gotten from candy. You would need to spend an incredible amount of time farming holo mobs just for one. I spent quite a bit of time just to get the holo and candy achievements, no where near enough for buying a set of wings.

In a few days the vast majority of active players will have these wings. Having just one set will be enough for most players except for a small amount who will hold on to multiples in hopes that the price rises. Alot of the previous event items have fallen by a wide margin and their is no reason this one will be any different. At the very best the price will stabilize around where it currently is, but it wont go up.
