Will the mac client users be given extra revive orbs and teleport friends to make up for ALL THE REVIVE ORBS AND TELEPORT FRIENDS WASTED this weekend on the “keyboard bug”?

Each time the “keyboard bug” happens you can no longer type or more your character with your keyboard. So you have to do a full client restart.

And if you doing fractals with friends you return to the fractal dead. And at the very beginning so the party is far away from you AND you can’t teleport. Your only option is to use a Revive Orb, and if you do that then you need to TP Friend to get caught up.

Number of Revive Orb’s and TP Friends wasted this weekend on the “keyboard bug” == 3.

As of the latest update (2017-8-11), the game now crashes on Login Screen on Macs.

You get the error:
Coherent host crashed
A serious error has occurred that prevented the application from continuing. A report has been sent to ArenaNet to help determine the cause.

And so I solved how to fix it so you can at least play:

1- Open terminal
2- Type the following command:
rm -rf “~/Library/Application Support/Guild Wars 2/”

I had to do this repeatedly sometimes before it would let me type on the login screen.

“When I was a babe….”

Babe is a loved one.

Baby is a young child.

This typo has been in the game for 5 years now.

I remember seeing this video before getting the game and thinking how cool it was.

In the video you see the Mesmer making a circle of invisibility and the party runs inside the circle.

Yet now, I have the game, I’ve played til lvl 50 and I’ve never seen this power in the game.

What is this power and how do I get it?

Warriors are by far the most BORING “profession” in this game.

I’ve always played spell casters because I like the variety, but I wanted to try something different and I’m bored to tears with my Warrior.

Last night I played with an Elementalist who could make an ICE BOW, a FIRE AXE, a LIGHTNING HAMMER… and so on, and at the mercy of him creating cool weapons for me to use, I actually had fun for a couple minutes. But that was it.

And then I realized—-> Warriors need cool magic weapons and armor to make this class fun.

Why can’t we have cool magic weapons at least?

We spent over 3 hours tonight in the Halloween area of Lion’s Arch trying to figure this stuff out and it still MAKES NO SENSE what-so-ever.

And read the comments in the chat of the game. That’s all anyone is saying, “This makes no sense.”

And I’ve read all the posts here and only a couple people understood my original post. You should not have to “google it” ever. The announcements, the events, how it works, what you are ‘pose to be doing, all that information should be INSIDE THE GAME ITSELF. If you have to leave the game to get that information then you’ve broken the fantasy and ruined the reason that I game. I game to escape into another world, and you are forcing me to leave that world and go open a browser so I can understand what’s going on.

I consider myself a casual gamer. I want to come home after work and escape into the game and have fun. We spent 3 hours on this content tonight and it was a confusing mess, and what little we did figure out how to do was zero fun. How is running around as a spider with 2 power (only 2 attacks) and getting knocked around and never getting a crown after over 30 minutes of trying… how is that any fun? It isn’t. It sucked. Badly.

It was so bad I felt bad feelings for even having asked one of my best friends to go into the game and game with me tonight. The content for this event is really that awful.

I play Guild Wars with one of my best friends.

We both logged in tonight to see the new Halloween content.

It was so bad. So confusing. So awful, both of us were in shock. He kept saying, “When is the fun going to start?”

It was awful. It made no sense. It was pure chaos.

Whenever I asked anyone about it everyone would say, “google it.” “Google it” is the sign of VERY POOR GAME DESIGN.

There was nothing to tell you what was going on. None of it made any sense. It still doesn’t make any sense.

You go up to a caldron and switch into a costume, and keep doing that over and over.. I had no idea what to do next. Nothing told me what was going on.

People kept saying, “READ THE BOOK.” What book? I talked to everyone with a pumpkin over there head in Lion’s Arch and I never received any book.

The whole thing MAKES NO SENSE and is horribly designed.

Honestly I loved this game prior to today, but honestly the experience we had tonight was so bad, so completely lacking of fun in any way, … it’s tainted my view of this game.

And then the Super Mario jumping puzzle in the middle of Lion’s Arch. Did any of the developers ever consider how hard that would be with —50-- other people doing it at the same time? you can’t see anything. It’s just bad… very bad.

And that’s all ontop of having NO IDEA WHAT TO DO -or- what’s going on. And no, I’m not going to “google it.”

You shouldn’t have to “google it.” If you have to “google it” then the developers have completely failed. The game design for this event is horrible.

This might help.

I play GuildWars 2 on my MacBook Pro. I use Bootcamp to boot into Windows.

Since I’m playing on a MacBook Pro, there’s no right click. Or at least no right click that allows me to have “mouseview.”

So to get around this I remapped the Right Open-Apple Key under Windows to be “right click” So now I can hold down the Right Open-Apple key and look around by touching the track pad. Works perfectly.

Are you serious?

I went out and bought a copy of Windows 7 ($120) just for this game.

And I bought the Deluxe edition ($80).

I partitioned my harddrive with Bootcamp and installed Windows 7 just so I could play this game.

And now I learn there’s a Mac Client???? Are you kidding me?

12 levels and never even been so much as downed…. NOT ONCE.

Completely overpowered compared to the other classes. Full tank with healing abilities and ranged damage. Overkill to the extreme.

I just started playing a Mesmer and I have NO IDEA how to spawn clones or control clones or anything.

I just have 3 powers now (the first 3), and when I repeatedly press ‘1’ over and over and over again, sometimes (randomly) it spawns a clone illusion of me during combat.

I have no idea what created that illusionary clone and sometimes I can get another.

But again, I have no idea how i’m spawning these clones or how to control them. It’s not clear at all.

AND when I have a clone created, and I mouse over my first power, it has a STACK of 3 different options it does. One is from the clone. One is from me. AGAIN I have no idea how to use these.

Are there any instructions for this game… especially for the Mesmer profession. I want to play this class, but I can’t figure out what the hell I’m doing and it’s not clear at all.
