so they send me an email asking for more detail, to which i reply and i get this nonsense….

“Your recent incident update was from an email address not associated with the incident. In an effort to maintain the security of information, we cannot update the incident using this email address. "

i can’t believe how difficult this appears to be ! I’ve given up on the support system but thought i’d ask here again. I simply want to change my email address that guild wars/arenanet uses to communicate with me!!

is that so strange? i will soon no longer have access to the email address they have on record.

there seems no normal account management functions, the only option in account settings is to change password. Does anyone else think this is dumb?

phew, thank you! if you send me an email on it though your system generates the above message when i reply to you so i don’t know if you’re seeing my replies !

are you guys noticing that this is becoming an issue for lots of your customers? you need to make it easier for us to update our account details! and potentially think about NOT using email addresses for login ID’s anyway, if you can help with this that would be most appreciated.

its this kind of stuff that really puts customers off!

you log a support ticket, get an email to your registered address that invites you to reply to it with any more information etc… you reply to it and you get this… which makes NO SENSE!!!! how could my “recent update” be from an email not associated with the incident, when i replied to the email sent by support….!!!!!!!! are there any humans behind the scenes there?

hi. sorry if this is a no-brainer, but all i want to do is change the email address that is associated with my account. Its an email that is closing down so i need to change it to another personal one.

Sounds easy, but upon logging in and clicking “my account” the only option is to change the password. There doesn’t seem to be any other account modification options. clicking “edit profile” does nothing. still just displays the “change password” boxes.

Would really appreciate help on this , thanks.
