Crap, that’s unfortunate. Oh well, I may just buy a physical copy down the road if I can find one for a good deal, just to have for the collection.

Hey guys, I know A.Net mentioned that there will be both digital and physical copies of HoT available, but I can’t find any further information on this. I plan on purchasing the Ultimate Edition, but I want to get the physical copy of HoT. Is there any way I can do this? I’d even be willing to pay a little extra more for a physical copy of the expansion itself, but I also want all the benefits that come with the Ultimate Edition. I’m just not willing to spend $99 + $50 for a physical copy if I can’t get the Ultimate Edition with a physical copy.

So basically, my question is this: does anyone know if/how/where I can pre-order a physical version of the expansion, but still get the benefits of the Ultimate Edition without having to buy the two separate? GW2 is pretty much my favorite MMO at this point, so I’d absolutely LOVE to have a physical version of HoT if possible.

Count me in as one of the happy players as well. I’m not a veteran, but I’m not extremely new either, and I’m beyond excited to play HoT.

I’m planning to get the Ultimate Edition as well. This game just gets better all the time haha

It’s nice to hear the various responses here, it really would be nice to at least be able to use custom headgear. I mean, the outfit itself is cool for if you were going into battle or something, but it would be nice to be able to wear it with, as I said earlier, the Wreath of Cooperation to give it kind of a Roman victory look.

Well, I’m wondering if A.net has some sort of technical limitation here or if it just hasn’t been thought of yet. I hope they could do something like this so I could use the wreath with the outfit.

I just now thought to post about this on the forums, but I have a question about outfits like the ones you can buy on the Gem Store. Back a while ago, I purchased two gem cards at Best Buy for the Black Friday sales and got several different things, including the Ceremonial Plate Armor outfit and the Wreath of Cooperation. What I wanted to do was use all of the plate armor except for the helmet and just use the wreath as my head item, to give it kind of a royal appearance, since I’m really big into royalty and such. However, I didn’t realize that these outfits covered all of the armor slots, which somewhat disappointed me because I really hoped to use the two together, because both look really awesome.

So this is my question: is there any specific reason why we can’t hide parts of the outfit so we can use non-cosmetic gear in its place? Has this been talked about before? I’d love to see an update that changes this, but I was just wondering if this has been discussed before or not.
