Guard 2: “Yeah, the one turned into a bear and threw me into a wall. My organs hurt for a week.”

I’m running a trivia contest for a guild event. I’m looking for questions. I have about 18 that I feel work. Got about another 5 that I feel are too tough. A lot of the stuff on the internet has questions from the books and overly esoteric stuff. I’m looking for things stated or seen in game. Like, some detail stated in storyline common to all, some dungeon, race or profession detail there is a reasonably good chance most will know, etc. Whats the color of the earring on the third merchant in the training area of …. no good.

Im open to suggestions and creativity.

I finished the three base items for the Predator a couple of days ago and got the precursor out of the mystic toilet. But, I’m waiting for a guild event on the 30th to make it.

The Legendary is, I feel, put in the game for those grind hard dye hards who like pursuing the unattainable goal. I don’t feel your experience with the game should revolve around one. Though with enough time the way it is setup everyone should have the opportunity to make one.

Probably the greater part of the population will never make one and that is ok. It is purely a vanity item afterall. Had I not gotten titanically lucky at the toilet (I got the Hunter on the third set of four rifles,) I would never have undertaken it. But, having played MMOs since the EQ alpha test, I have never, and I mean, not ever, gotten ‘the drop’. So once I got it I almost felt I was obligated.

If you pursue it I recommend you grind and sell stuff. If you stand around trying to farm any lodestone you’re going to be old and grey before you get them all. Same goes for the precursors; we have one poor chap in guild who has put 1400 staffs in with no Legend.

Humorously, I got my second precursor out of the Teq chest last night.

It forced me out of the game and then allowed me to re-enter. When I try to use the engie it asks me to reset the name. The other characters I tried were allowed into game, though I did not try them all. If the name is not allowed so be it I will change it. Please just let me know as it sounds from what you are saying that there is some confusion here. I am fine with whatever ANet’s decision it was not my intention to challenge it. I’d prefer not to go through a suspension period.

I just got knocked out of the game for ‘unacceptable behavior’ for my engineer’s name “Lubricant and Caulk” (two tools an engineer might use). Sure, it is sophomoric humor but there is nothing overtly wrong with the name. No curse words, nothing offensive to any group, etc. I was quite proud of this one.

Anyway I thank you for letting me just change the name; but I think you are being a little over vigilant here. I’ve seen and had worse.
