the truth is no one wants a thief on their team. Why? The class is weak and there never really were many good thieves to begin with. I’m finding that whenever I have a thief on my team, about 80% of the time we lose. Coincidence? No.

80% of the times I lose a match with a thief on my team only when another person spends the entire match ranting about having said thief in the team as opposed to playing the kitten game. When people actually focus on playing the game, I win most of them, don’t think that’s a coincidence either.

There are bad players on every class, sadly though, sheeples will just blame a thief for everything because it’s easier that way.

There was a guy on my team verbally abusing our thief before the match even began, full on telling the guy to go die just because of a class he was playing. The thief did everything right and this guy giving him crap kept running in outnumbered to die and then spent the rest of the match chasing a druid off point…yet to him and one other on the team it was the thief’s fault we lost.

The community is disgustingly toxic and anet does nothing to address it. If they’re not going to get on the ball with balance, then they need to pick up the slack on these griefing issues.

I try to avoid posting on here but hey this game is going to hell in a handbasket, anet needs to step up.

Traveler’s Trappings.
This outfit is by far the most comfortable one of all the lady’s clothing combinations. It is to be worn on journeys to preferable sunny, southern regions.

Orrian’s Ornaments.
This set is inspired by the long faded majesty of the kingdom of Orr. It will guide you through mazes of long forgotten cities and ruined landscapes without even having to use your eyes.

Ascendant’s Attire.
The ‘I mean business’ armor. To be worn in Fractals and most other dungeons, but also formal affairs and official guild gatherings. My mesmer’s personal favorite.

Demon’s Disguise.
By far the most casual one of the bunch, this outfit is mostly worn in a comfortable setting. Will remind the wearer of her youth and is a perfect gateway to creating a lighthearted atmosphere. Trolling included.

Empress’s Ensemble.
Making a statement of true royalty, this outfit will make sure to remind you and everyone near you of your nobility. To be worn in situations where there will be little to no fighting, and appearance is what matters most.

I personally agree with dagger storm it can be quite useful against engineers grenades and other projectiles and CC removal (If Yishish uses it it can’t be all bad :p). But as with all builds and skills it won’t always work with everyone we all play differently and counter differently. Thieves do have other kitten nals though and if dagger storm doesn’t work it doesn’t mean they can’t cancel it and pull something else out their sleeves.

I definitely find taking your time and knowing when to apply pressure is best to go against Engi. Blind on stealth to minimize their damage too + Backstab to keep them on their toes and I always make sure to fight them in open spaces so always bait them out to fight where you have the most advantage with kiting and space (I am talking WvW here so I don’t know if that makes any difference) I find I often win the same amount I lose in SPvP, very 50-50 outcomes.

There’s 2 issues being discussed in this thread : I’m going to talk about the guilds which have totally gone missing.

We found (and fixed) a bug with a number of different guilds which were causing them to no longer be available. This probably isn’t going to fix every broken guild, but it should fix a lot of them.

For people in this situation please check their guilds and let me know whether they’ve been fixed or not. You can PM me or respond to this thread.

Sorry about this, it’s really important to me that we fix this – I promise that we’re on it.

Issue: Deleted Guild?

The guild leader logged on today at around midday GMT on his main character and had no guilds listed in his guild frame. At the time, I could see his main character online the guild roster but it said that he was not representing the guild. He logged onto an alt and initially did not have the same problem. However, when we both logged out and back in again a few minutes later, the guild had completely disappeared for both of us on all of our characters (and, we assume, all other members). A few hours ago, I attempted to create a guild of the same name on one of my characters to see if the guild had been entirely deleted, but the name was still in use. Please help!
