Turns out the term comes from WoW, no surprises there.
Its not perfectly correct but in the context of WvW and GW2 but I’d say its close enough to on the mark and I’ve seen it used plenty of times to simply describe a bad.

Yes, it’s usage has morphed in that direction for some games. But technically, it just means Pick Up Group.

Question for you. When Chester referred to SPCA/XOXO/tM/Splt as PUGs do you think he was calling them bads?

I don’t necessarily agree with how you speak of small manning like you are a promoter and in game more often than not run with more, but I will say its gratifying to say the least to see weasels come on the forums a couple weeks after running in 10+ bragging and ALWAYS chasing our 5 across the map crying about y’all hitting them. All the “good” players in t7 purely fight with numbers and have no shame doing it. That’s the face value of t7.

I guess i’m not a “good” player as you’ll often seem me roaming alone (or perhaps with a pug friend if they are up for a challenge). This puts me usually at a numbers disadvantage but doesn’t mean I’m not the last one standing. You won’t see me complaining about zergs, although I really dislike them. I find it dumbs down the play and I’d rather have a challenge.

So if you meet a GoM female Mesmer with an Obon tag, you’re facing me and you’d better bring your A game.

PS. I’d like to say it was a great fight last night to the SPCA ranger who I 1v1ed just south of the GoM Cliff Tower after we broke away from a zerg fight. I was curious if that other guy who joined was called off by you are realized he was over his head. I did feel bad that stupid ram finished you off.

That was their decision. They came after us. Instead okittennowledging that they made a bad decision, instead… well, yeah… you know. They got zerged. Once I realized we had so many friendly adds I marked off the win was meaningless. It’s just another example of them engaging us, losing, and blaming it on getting zerged rather than blaming it on their own bad decision.

Oh yes, and please forgive us calling them garbage players there at the end. Oh, no wait. They call us garbage players, we were actually still complimenting them. That’s how us DBs roll.

using a mix of 3 rabid/3 rampager armor. all rampager accessories. 2xbaelfire 2x mad king 2x balthazar for runes. Giver pistol and shield. The healing and third skill are kinda up in the air,i use elixer c for condition removal,but other options could be net turret to work on vuln traits.

Yeah, and people have caught on – the good ones…making me use the FT different when I use it. I just pull it out for the AOE blind, AOE knockback on short CD or the number 2 (which you can aim manually and blow up for 5k+ hits in groups of people). Pretty solid considering I only have 1850ish iirc power, 76% crit dmg.

For a flame throwers/burning based build, do you wanna go condition damage or power/crit?

The guild im in already has a romaing 5 man group,so im kinda outta luck.

I was told this last night by my own guildies. A new low for me. Made me feel like a real kitten. Whats the point of a guild if you cant even run with them? Introduce a warband system please…or give me nicer guildies.

Right now I’m in full zerker gear, weapons and accessories. Gs/sw/p. I kill stuff fast, but have little to no toughness and like 15k hps. Does anyone have success with a different gear set up with a bit more survivability?

The illusions/phantasms have extremely low health pools,and now have had their recast time increased. kill them,and you got yourself a dead mesmer. Mes is my main.

Hello friends! Have a 80 mes, pretty decked out,and i’d like to roll an engineer. I focus mainly on wvw. Can anyone throw out some builds that work for them? Im looking for 2 different types. 1 being a pure dps build, (glass cannon?) the 2nd being a more tankier build that could just oulast anything thrown at it (to a certain extent obviously)

I scrolled through the sticky and it seemed to mainly focus on pve or spvp builds. Not interested in those

Hello all, I currently made myself some explorer’s gear, and i was wondering how exactly magic find works. Does it only work on chests? Or is it something i can be wearing to kill mobs and do quests hoping for better drops? Does it work in wvw off baddies as well?

Im running prec/pwr/crit gear,while im by no means the best mesmer,i am running into alot of prblems due to low health. I tend to roam solo more,so i was wondering if i should be focusing more on tough/vit/pwr instead. thoughts?
